7 Diffusers are an important tool for keeping your filter effective and your pond and fishes healthy! The Super Air is a pond aerator, which requires less pump pressure than regular Venturis. A Venturi easily looses 50% of the pump capacity, while the Super Air only looses 10 to 20%. Due to the special stainless steel grid the water flows with increased velocity and the form of the grid ensures an optimal turbulence. Water and air get mixed effectively providing an optimal oxygen exchange for a perfect pond aeration. Application: The Super Air aerator must be placed at an angle of ±45º with a fully submerged grid. Make sure, that the air intake is completely above the waters surface! It is also possible to install the unit with the outlet above the water surface. This is recommended when starting a new pond or filter, in quarantine basins, hospital tanks and in tanks with very heavy fish loads where the ammonia and nitrite content can increase due to an insufficient biomass in the filter. The Super Air aerator can partly excrete the harmful substances into gasses and when the outlet is placed above the water level these gasses can be released into the air. NB: The built in grid of the Super Air is sensitive to contamination by string algae (blanket weed). Therefore it is necessary to use a form of pre-filtration to ensure a perfect operation.
