FS2101 LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT Hours 45 PURPOSE The subject identifies the key elements and processes of logistics and supply chain and how they interact. Provide confidence to take up the logistics and supply chain activities in food industries. INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES This course is to make the students to become supply chain experts, handle the logistics and supply chain area with confidence and interest. Reveal the basic concepts of supply chain management and its essential role in an organization. Examine the principles and strategies for establishing efficient, effective, and sustainable supply chains. Expose the critical roles of technology in supply chain planning, visibility, and execution. Depict the requirements and challenges of moving products across global supply chains. Facilitate ways to assess the performance of supply chains using standard metrics and frameworks. 1

INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES SYLLABUS This course is to make the students to become supply chain experts, learn and apply the logistics and supply chain processes with interest and confidence. Get technical and IT exposure in LSCM and to empower the students in the field of logistics and supply chain management in order to handle the same individually in the corporate arena.
