4 The perfect union of solar panels and tiles AA THE IMERYS PVt When used in conjunction with Imerys clay roof tiles the Imerys PVt Solar Panels integrate perfectly and discreetly within the roof elevation. The waterproof panel frames are designed to interlock with each other and with the surrounding tiles. The modular format of the Imerys PVt panels ensures its ease of application on a variety of installations large and small. AA A PRACTICAL SOLAR POWER SUPPLY FOR INDIVIDUAL HOMES 1 The solar tiles produce DC (Direct Current) electricity from the sun s rays. 2 The inverter converts this electricity to AC (Alternating Current) identical to that of your grid supply. PVt Solar Panels 3 Whilst this electricity is primarily for your own consumption, any surplus is sold to the grid.

5 Installation of PVt solar panels AA SIMPLE 3-STEP INSTALLATION Whilst the PVt Solar Panels are designed to be installed by your roofing contractor in conjunction with the standard battens used for the surrounding tile, the electrical connection should be undertaken by an M.C.S. (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accredited PV installer. Please note that the roof tiles which immediately surround each PVt panel should be mechanically fixed to their supporting batten. All elevations to be fitted with PVt solar panels should be counter-battened. Typical batten for the HP10 tile: 25x50mm, nail size 50x3mm The clever one-piece interlocking design makes the PVt quick and easy to install.
