If need be, staff on campus access list (Appendix A) can come on-site to perform work not possible remotely. Yes Yes access is available via the Internet by going to Yes Yes Team should be able to perform a majority of functions from home, but may need to come on campus for larger issues. Chris Scanlon X *16475* Rob Ream X2659 Bill Simpson X *16475* Yes Yes Home drive access is available via the Internet by going to Jared Holland X2157 Page 6 of 10 Information Technology Campus Closure Business Continuity Plan v1.0
7 136*16475* VPN Access Joe Gaines X *16475* Yes Yes Due to the limited number of VPN licenses owned by CSCC, only key personal tasked with supporting vital campus operations may receive the ability to connect remotely. Richard Brown X *16475* Terminal Server Access Joe Gaines X *16475* Yes Yes CSCC has the capability to quickly activate a terminal access list allowing select employees the ability to connect to mission critical applications (such as Datatel & CSCC Intranet). Upon campus closure, Network Services would need to stand up new virtual emergency terminal servers to handle the anticipated workload. Richard Brown X *16475* The terminal interface can also allow a selected group people to remote control their desktop computers from a remote location. This should not be considered as an option for all employees, but only those considered essential staff. Once identified, IP addresses for both the remote PC and their CSCC PC will tie to allow remote desktop access. Some training will be required to ensure employees can initiate the remote connection. Once in place, employees can initiate a remote connection by browsing to dts.cscc.edu. The following applications will be available on the terminal server: Microsoft Office, Colleague, & GroupWise client. Educational Resource Center Bruce Massis X5484 No No From a remote location, students would browse to CSCC s ERC home page at click on OhioLINK Home at the top of the page, and when asked to log in, students would provide their first & last name, CougarID, and PIN number. Kim Leggett X5879 Physical access to materials within the ERC would be unavailable. Students should visit local libraries when seeking items such as magazines, books, journals, and Page 7 of 10 Information Technology Campus Closure Business Continuity Plan v1.0
8 newspapers. Emergency Purchasing Etienne Martin X *16475* Yes Yes Consult vendor contact list and CSCC Policy 9-03 (H) at Hamid Danesh X *16475* I.T. Support Center Michael Little X *16475* Yes Yes The telecommunications team has the ability to route calls intended for the I.T. Support Center (ITSC) to the team s home phones. If an event invokes this action, the ITSC Supervisor will work with the telecommunications team to configure this contingency functionality. Bart Prickett X5514 The ITSC would be able to leverage the technologies described within section Terminal Server Access (above). From here, the technicians would be able to create tickets in HEAT and access their knowledgebase to resolve issues. If remote access is not possible, ITSC technicians will have to keep track of tickets and all related information via paper for entry into HEAT at a later time. Computer Labs Cell Phones Rhonda Gurio X5435 No No If the campus closes, the labs will be unavailable as well. Renee Witcher X5488 No No For one-off phone conversations, the primary channel for communications will be CSCC issued cell phones which are already in place. WebEx Etienne Martin X *16475* Yes Yes Web based calls (VOIP) are available for up to 200 participants per session and each host is allotted 25,000 minutes per month. Calls over a standard land line fall into a bucket of 28,500 minutes per month which is shared among everyone, not just authorized hosts. While this seems like a lot of minutes, the host needs to consider the audience size. As an example, if 200 people are participating in a session which lasts 10 minutes, the host just used 2,000 minutes in one session. When scheduling sessions, the host must be very aware of the number of participants and ensure discussions remain on track keeping in mind the drain it will Page 8 of 10 Information Technology Campus Closure Business Continuity Plan v1.0 Chris Grubbe X *16475* Marty Nesser X2473
9 have on their monthly minute allotment. Going above the allotted minutes (whether it is VOIP or standard land line) will result in additional charges of $0.07 per minute. Voic No No Employees may access their voice mail by dialing from a remote location. Colleague Databases Mike Jacobs X *16475* Shawn Ferguson X *16475* Yes Yes Vendor support is available if required. Len Gossard X *16475* Yes Yes Team should be able to perform a majority of functions from home, but may need to come on campus for larger issues. Joel Mathias X *16475* Page 9 of 10 Information Technology Campus Closure Business Continuity Plan v1.0
