The teacher who spends time after school addressing questions until the topic is understood.i believe too much technology will take away from the teacher who's personal and genuine interest in their subject. SOmetimes the firewall is obviously too much as it blocks alll communication with the teacher. He/She can read the atmosphere of the class and teach accordingly. A good teacher has communications skills. He/She should not be afraid to expect more from the student if that student has the ability. A good teacher should be willing to try new things even if they are uncomfortable with it. You never know until you try! A good teacher should be honest to both his/her student and parent. A good teacher should be willing to push but not without the ability to compromise when needed. Using technology in school can only bring a good teacher closer to his/her students. It would make the teacher seem more approachable to the student. We live in a world where technology is moving at a pace where the latest advancements become obsolete between 6-12 months after being released. That being said if we are not preparing our children for this world then we are doing them a huge disservice. More over we should be taking advantage of the technology to produce smarter generations. I leave you with this thought; how much more productive did schooling become after we figured out the technology of harnessing electricity? Teachers that can adapt to a child's personal needs/learning abilities has always been more successful.
