When dealing with large volumes of content, smaller PDF file sizes are preferable to distribute via or online as they use less bandwidth, and significantly less storage capacity, which saves on space, associated power and cooling, management, backup and data center costs. MRC Compression with Adlib enables dramatic decreases in file size by leveraging Mixed Raster Content compression capability of PDF. No longer will you need to compromise on color, resolution or storage and bandwidth costs. With MRC Compression, images can be stored in full color requiring less disk space than most formats can achieve with only monochrome. 2. 8 STAMPING By leveraging an intelligent metadata-driven rules engine, the PDF Stamping functionality in Adlib enables the automatic application of a wide range of customization or dynamic branding options to any Adlib-converted PDF: Watermarks dynamic and static can be used to reflect the approval status of the document i.e.: Draft = Approved Headers and/or Footers can be added to include the document pedigree i.e.: Author, department, date, page numbers, etc. NAVIGATION Manually searching through large documents looking for relevant information is inefficient; PDF navigation features such as a table of contents and bookmarks help you quickly locate the information you need. Bookmarks are automatically generated from Microsoft Word based on heading styles and Microsoft Excel worksheets; this enhanced PDF navigation is especially valuable when you combine documents into one PDF. Bookmarks and a table of contents are added on-the-fly as part of a single PDF conversion, or part of a sophisticated business process, thereby streamlining the process and increasing overall business efficiency.
