1 Linn-Benton Community College Graduate Follow-up Report Prepared by Laura Wisecaver, Institutional Research This annual graduate follow-up report is intended to provide individuals and programs a clearer picture of what LBCC graduates are doing after leaving LBCC. Information is collected on both the academic and the employment activities of each graduate, regardless of whether that person is a Career Technical or Transfer program graduate. The data for this report is collected through a survey conducted approximately one year following June graduation. Graduates are contacted either by phone or mail. A small number of graduates are found through the National Student Clearinghouse. The follow-up includes 678 graduates who completed 768 degrees and certificates. Seventy-eight graduates received two degrees and/or certificates, six received three or more. This year, we have information on 525 graduates, for a total of 77.4% of the graduating class. The following pages summarize responses from the graduates by program. The data in this report does include duplicate entries for students obtaining more than one degree or certificate. Detailed follow-up information was sent to departmental directors. Please contact the Institutional Research Department for additional copies of this report, or for inquiries regarding survey data. Follow-up Summary f the graduates responding to the survey, 432 (73.6%) of the Career Technical graduates and 83 (69.7%) of the combined Transfer Program graduates are employed full- or part-time. Eighty-one percent (80.6%) of Career Technical and 38.6% of Transfer graduates employed full- or part-time stated that their current employment is related to their LBCC degree. Eightyeight percent (87.9%) of Career Technical and 58.1% of Transfer graduates employed full-time stated that their current employment is related to their LBCC degree. Ninety-five percent (95.2%) of our Career Technical graduates stated that they were satisfied with the vocational preparation they received at LBCC, and 96.4% of our Transfer graduates stated that they were satisfied with the academic preparation they received at LBCC. Sixty-six percent (65.9%) of our Transfer graduates enrolled in school after graduation, 92.6% of these at four-year colleges or universities.
