Do you want an electronic locking system for lockers so that you can enable your guests safe storage of their personal belongings, while they can enjoy a carefree relaxation? Use Metra electronic locking and access control solutions. System operation The access control and electronic locking system is based on RFID wristbands as an access media and uses all the advantages that this media can offer. With RFID wristbands is possible to define different tickets with access permissions to different areas, such as pool, sauna, fitness centre, etc. It is also used to lock/unlock lockers and for paying inside the facility s controlled area (pool, sauna, etc.). Metra system offers integration with other 3 rd party hotel software through different system interfaces. Upon check-in hotel guests, along with the RFID wristbands, receive also a RFID cards for room access. Entrance to the hotel premises such as swimming pool, sauna, fitness, etc. is Hotel Solution 2

3 often available also for the non-hotel daily guests. Daily guests buy a 1 day access ticket (RFID media) at the entrance cash desk. Upon exit the RFID ticket is retained by the access control device. Cashless payment (credit or debit) is also available for daily guests. Exit is denied for the following reasons: - If guest has left his locker locked. When the guests leave they need to unlock their locker, so it is available for the next user. With this functionality we prevent guests to reserve a locker for the afternoon, next day, etc. which could cause lack of free lockers for other guests. - If guest used his wristband for payment. Bill for all purchased items inside the facility is settled upon guest s exit. For daily guests Metra software supports debit or credit type of payment. Limit can be set for the credit type of payment. If the guest reaches the limit, but does not intend to leave the primacies just yet, he/she can go to the reception desk and settles the bill and the credit is reset. For hotel guests payment to his/hers room is more appropriate. Guest settles the bill when he/she checks out of the hotel. - If borrowed items were not returned. Hardware description Reception It's the centre of the system. Tickets are issued at the reception desk with Desktop POS Reader. Usually the reception desk, main tripod turnstiles and passage for disabled are located close one to another, so receptionist can communicate with customers when they enter or exit the centre. 4 are collected through Network Controller and stored to database on the server that enables different reports and analyses, which come-in helpful when forming the price policy and defining different tickets. Software Metra access control system operates with Metra software, which is easy to use, offers a lot of different data reviews and prepares data for further analyses. It is WEB based application, allows connection with different POS or HIS software and supports different languages. Metra software allows pool to customise setting as they want. It also has more authority levels (receptionist, administrator). Tripod Turnstile Tripod turnstile is a single (entrance/exit) or bidirectional passage control device. On the bidirectional device and single entrance direction device the entrance side is equipped with a reader for RFID media and the exit side on a bidirectional device or on a single exit direction device can be equipped with reader for RFID media or Wristband Capturer for reading and retaining used tickets (RFID media). Passage allowed and passage denied visual LED indicators are integrated into the device. Turnstile Access Terminal (inside passages and passages for disabled) Turnstile Access Terminal is used to control gates for disabled or devices from other manufacturers. Hotel Solution 4

5 Two types of tube housings are available. So called slim housing is with integrated reader for RFID media and fat housing with integrated Metra Wristband Capturer and compartment for retained wristbands. Both are equipped with passage allowed or passage denied visual LED indicators. Electronic locking for locker room lockers Lockers are equipped with Metra electronic locking system. Guest s RFID media is used as a locker key. Each locker has a build in Metra Electronic Lock which is controlled by Metra Locker Controller. Users choose any vacant locker, simply put their belongings inside, close the door and confirm locking by presenting the RFID media to the reader next to the LCD display that shows the number of closed locker. With Metra software, receptionist can easily check which lockers are occupied and which are still available. Metra electronic locking system offers a high level of comfort and security since it has an installed alarm which goes off in case of an attempt of a brake-in. Instead of RFID media also a user defined PIN code can be used as a locker key and is mainly used in lockers for non-hotel guests who apply for different treatments that the hotel offers (e.g. different massages, etc.). 6 Wristband Metra contactless RFID wristband is most suitable media for use in swimming pools, fitness, spa and wellness centres etc. because it is more appropriate for wearing than the ordinary RFID cards. It is made of durable plastic which also floats on the water. It can be delivered in various colours. By using different colours visitors can be divided into different groups (for ex. Swimming pool visitor blue wristband, swimming pool + sauna visitor red wristband etc.). Cashless vending Inside controlled area cashless vending can be used. Guests do not need to carry around money or credit cards, but they can safely store their money, credit cards, etc. inside lockers and pay with their wristbands, which also serve as locker keys. Due to the ease of payment guest also spend more money, which increases the revenue. For cashless vending different cordless or stationary POS terminals can be used. Cashless vending gives you additional advantages: Makes additional profit. Reduces possibility of theft, since guest s valuables are safely stored inside locker. User friendly type of payment.
