1 INFORMATION FOR DELIVERY MATERIALS OF FUNDED PRODUCTIONS Congratulations from the National Film & Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) on securing funding for your production. You will notice that in your Production Investment Agreement (PIA) there is a requirement to supply copies of your production and associated promotional material to the NFSA. You may now be asking yourself why this is necessary or important. The NFSA collects, preserves and makes available screen and sound material relevant to Australia's culture. We actively encourage Australians to engage with Australian productions held in the National Collection and offer a number of programs which facilitate this activity. Our suite of National Programs encompassing Big Screen, Black Screen and School Screen, tour across Australia, in addition to regular screenings at our ARC Cinema and exhibitions at our Canberra headquarters. Our website also includes Australian Screen, containing copyright cleared and curated clips of over 1,300 significant images and sounds depicting Australia s audiovisual history. The National Collection includes more than 1.7 million items and where preview copies are held, materials can be made available via application at NFSA premises in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, and at Viewing Centres at State Libraries across Australia. The National Collection now covers more than 100 years of audiovisual production. By supplying us with the production items listed in your PIA, you are adding to Australia s national production record. The title of your production and the items you supply to the NFSA will be added to the National Collection, stored in specialised vaults and listed in our online catalogue, Your rights are fully protected with an initial restriction until your production is first published. Titles can only be viewed within NFSA premises and copies cannot be provided without your written authorisation. Please refer below for a list of required Delivery Materials ( deliverables ). We also ask that you complete the Statement of Technical details (Attachment A) and include this information when you send in your material.
