Fabricating monolithic DNA purification/real-time PCR silicon chips and using them on an automated microfluidic detection platform to purify and quantitatively detect Staphylococcus aureus by TaqMan real-time PCR. Transfer of molecular methods to detect food microorganisms to micro/nanotechnological platforms.
