2 TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION PROCESSING & TECHNOLOGY (IPR) USER PAY FEES: $5 (Print Balance) Information Processing & Technology provides opportunities for students who have a special interest in the higher-level applications of computing. IPR prepares students for Year 11 & 12 IPT and tertiary IT studies by the designing and programming of computer systems for use by others. Theory is an important component and tied strongly with practical implementation. Students may study IPR and ITS together without overlapping study. 3 TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS (ITS) USER PAY FEES: $5 (Print Balance) Information Technology Systems provides opportunities for students who have a special interest in computing and multimedia focused on developing projects for clients and prepares them for the Year 11/12 ITN (OP subject) and Certificate II in Information Technology & Digital Media. Students learn a variety of skills necessary for multimedia development, as well as the concepts of project management and client interaction. Students may study for IPR and ITS together without overlapping study. Graphic Design Web Design Careers in IT industry Multimedia Design includes project management Project management document for both Graphic and Multimedia Design units Digital Portfolio of works completed in class time (Web based) Magazine article outlining the requirements for a chosen career in the ICT industry Project to create an animation or mobile application. 4 TECHNOLOGY METAL ENGINEERING (TME) USER PAY FEES: $25 approx. - this fee is for the construction of a project such as: sliding bevel, bottle opener, gear puller, carry all, patio dustpan, lathe turning or similar. This course provides students with opportunity to develop a knowledge and appreciation of Engineering materials, equipment, processes and work methods relating to an Industrial Technology workshop environment. Design and problem solving activities are integral components of the course. Safety and workshop technology Project planning Sheet metal working Fitting and fabrication Machining Project Construction Related Technology Planning and Design Tasks Workplace Health & Safety Due to workshop safety requirements students must wear suitable footwear and use of school personal protective equipment in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety legislation Students who continue to display safety breaches may be removed from the course of study.
