Panelist at University of Southern Radio Career Panel Date: February 11, 2015 Personnel involved: LA Integrated Marketing Specialist, KNX Promotions Coordinator The Employment Unit s LA Integrated Marketing Specialist and KNX Promotions Coordinator Director participated in a panel discussion presented by the University of Southern on February 11, Employment Unit personnel served as a panelist at this career development discussion targeted at students potentially seeking employment in the broadcast and media industry. The internships, which are available throughout the year, provide opportunities in various radio station departments, including programming, promotions and sales. Veteran Internship Program Date: Summer 2015 Personnel involved: CBS Radio Los Angeles Promotions During this reporting period, the Employment Unit provided two (2) veterans with an educational experience tailored to their interests and career aspirations in broadcasting. The internships, which are available throughout the year, provide opportunities in various radio station departments, including programming, promotions and sales. d) Scholarship Program SCBA 2015 Scholarship Program Date: Ongoing Personnel involved: Market Manager The Employment Unit s Market Manager participates in the evaluation and selection of those eligible for the Southern Broadcasters Association Scholarship Fund Awards, including the George Nicholaw, and Stan Spero Broadcasting Scholarship Awards. e) Training Programs CBS Radio Sales Associate Program Date: Ongoing Personnel involved: Sales Associates, Sales Managers The Employment Unit has established a Sales Associate Program which is a formal training program which enables Station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions within the Sales Department. The Employment Unit had four (4) participants during the reporting period. f) Training Programs CBS Corporation Compliance Training Program Date: Ongoing Personnel involved: All full time employees, including management-level personnel Employment Unit employees, including management-level personnel, participated in CBS Corporation s Compliance Training Program, which included online training regarding the Corporation s Business Conduct Statement, ethical business practices, appropriate workplace conduct and preventing sexual harassment and employment discrimination. Employment Unit employees, including management-level personnel, also received copies of the CBS Corporation quarterly compliance newsletter (Compliance Up Close) and short video vignettes on the following subjects: the Company s information security policy, privacy by design, and behavioral ethics. 115
