2 OUTLINE What is the onshore Atlas? Why are we making this Atlas? What does the Atlas contain?

3 What is the onshore Atlas? A five -year project operated by the Department of Energy It will be the first petroleum resource assessment of onshore It will be a useful source for data on hydrocarbon potential used in the Nova Scotia

4 What is the onshore Atlas? It is a geological synthesis for onshore basins with emphasis on hydrocarbon potential It s a compilation of the geological, geophysical and geochemical data It features published reports, well and seismic data and maps etc

5 Why are we making this onshore Atlas? Long drilling history but no commercial production A lack of geological knowledge of onshore basins is one of the barriers to successful exploration
