Andrews, Jr. dated January 18, During our last appearance before the planning board, we received verbal comments from Mr. Andrews and board members. Kindly accept this letter in response to those comments. John V. Andrews, Jr. Letter dated 1/18/16 1. The following notes shall be included on the site plan: A permit shall be obtained from the Town Clerk of the Town of Fishkill prior to tapping the Glenham Water District main. The service line shall be the responsibility of the owner from the valve to the point of service. CAMO Pollution Control, the Town Water and Sewer Operator, shall be notified at least 48 hours in advance of any disturbance to or excavation of the facilities of the Glenham Water District. The domestic water service shall be metered. The size, make and model of the installed meter shall be acceptable to the Town. Arrangements shall be made in advance with the Town of Fishkill Building Inspector concerning water metering. These notes have been added to Sheet S-5.

The Project Sponsor has submitted a certification from a Licensed Professional Engineer indicating that the subsurface sewage disposal system is functioning and not in a state of failure, i.e. no discharge of sewage to the ground surface and further, that the nature of construction of the existing facility is such that it can adequately accommodate future traffic. We take no exception to that certification. No comment necessary. 3. The project proposes modifications within the NYSDOT Highway Right-of-Way for Route 52. The project will require a NYSDOT Highway Work Permit for these improvements. The Town shall be copied on any and all correspondence to and from that Department. The Project Sponsor shall comply with this requirement. Applicant's engineer has made an additional submission for sight distance at the request of DOT which is also submitted herewith. 4. The Project Sponsor proposes landscaping within the NYSDOT Highway Right-of -Way. The Project Sponsor further proposes to create a curbed island along a portion of the right-of-way. The plan notes indicate the island to be grass. The referenced detail suggests that it will be concrete. The inconsistencies shall be addressed in future submittals. Sheet S-5 (Curb/Sidewalk Detail) has been modified to reflect that the island shall be grass rather than concrete. 5. The Project Sponsor has submitted a simple drainage analysis of the existing developed site. Proposed site disturbance is minimal. We take no exception to the report submitted. A more detailed analysis may be required for the future development. No comment necessary. Planning Board Member Comments 1. Consideration should be given to sealing and striping the parking lot. A Note has been added to the plan indicating that once construction/renovation work is complete, the parking lot will be sealed and striped. It is suggested that it would be wise to do this work at completion so that trucks and vehicles are not driven on the 'fresh look' until the very end of the work process.
