2 LYCOPODIUM PROCESS INDUSTRIES IS A DYNAMIC ENGINEERING COMPANY WITH A 50 YEAR HISTORY Lycopodium provides innovative, cost effective, energy efficient and environmentally friendly engineering solutions for clients, in a diverse range of process related industries. We provide a complete engineering service from the study phase through design, procurement, project and construction management to commissioning. 3 HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT Health, safety and environment management of our own workforce and all others under our control is of paramount importance to Lycopodium in not only the successful pursuit of its business activities, but outside of the work arena. HSE behaviours, commitment and outcomes are an unequivocal focus from the group managing director and across all companies and levels of the company. All accidents can be prevented. We strive continuously for zero accidents to personnel, material and nonmaterial assets. We focus on employee health and on continuously improving the work environment. We conduct our operations through efficient use of materials and energy, with minimum waste and damage to the environment. We design products and services to have no undue environmental impact, to be safe and efficient in consuming energy and natural resources. We seek to ensure that our products can be recycled or disposed of safely We foster a culture of HSE awareness through regular HSE awareness sessions that cover the full range of health safety and environmental issues and also includes related topics such as security and commitment to the community. QUALITY Lycopodium Process Industries is focused on providing a consistently high quality service and reliable performance via its process engineering and design capabilities. Lycopodium Process Industries is Quality Management Certified to ISO for project management, design, procurement, construction management and commissioning services. Detailed quality plans are prepared to coordinate quality assurance from design through to construction and integrated into the Project Implementation Plans. Lycopodium s commitment to quality is visible in the numerous engineering awards received by the company. Projects that have received Engineering Excellence Awards have included the GlaxoSmithKline Fine Chemicals Facility, the Herman Research Laboratory Pilot Plant for Hydrothermal Drying of Brown Coal and the Colgate- Palmolive Sulphonate Detergent Plant. Lycopodium was also awarded Plant of the Year by the Society of Chemical Industry for the SRL Plasma Halon Destruction Facility and the ICI Dulux Resin Manufacturing Facility. We review our HSE plan annually in pursuit of continual improvements. 6 PROJECT PROFILES HYDROGEN SULFIDE PLANT JGC Corporation & Chiyoda Corporation Philippines Capital cost of $30M AUD Lycopodium in conjunction with their USA technology provider, C & I Engineering, provided the Basic Engineering (FEED) design package of the H2S Plant for the HPAL Nickel Extraction Plant owned by Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. HYDROCHLORIC ACID PLANT UPGRADE Orica Australia Laverton, Vic Doubled the plant s production capacity Lycopodium provided preliminary and detailed design, cost estimating, procurement and construction management services for Orica Australia in the upgrade of their Hydrochloric Acid Plant. HYDROGEN PEROXIDE PLANT Solvay Interox Banksmeadow, NSW Increased capacity from 17.5ktpa to 24ktpa Lycopodium provided engineering, procurement and construction management services for the $20M expansion of the Banksmeadow Hydrogen Peroxide Plant from the current 17.5 ktpa capacity to 24 ktpa capacity. ACID TANK FARM PRECINCT UPGRADE Thales Mulwala, NSW Total project value of $14M AUD Lycopodium delivered a new spent acid storage tank farm, a new concentrated acid mixing facility, refurbished three acid tanker loading bays, a new Nitrous Oxide Fume Absorption plant and developed the detailed design tender package for a further Nitric Acid tank farm. BIODIESEL PLANT Biodiesel Producers Barnawartha, Vic Total project value of over $50M Lycopodium provided the EPCM services for the construction of a plant to produce 50,000 TPA of biodiesel (methylester). 7 PROJECT PROFILES ETHANOL PLANT Swan Hill Ethanol Swan Hill, Vic Plant capacity of 100 Ml/year of fuel-grade ethanol Lycopodium was responsible for detailing the grain intake and milling processes, Australianisation, and detailed design of the civil/structural work, buildings, pipe bridges, underground services, tank farm, loading/unloading facilities, ethanol bleeding and utilities. COODE ISLAND TERMINAL Marstel Melbourne, Vic Doubled the plant s production capacity Lycopodium was engaged as the process, mechanical and electrical/controls designer with Leighton Contractors as the constructor for the new Coode Island Bulk Hazardous and Non Hazardous Liquid Storage Terminal. WASTE SOIL TREATMENT FACILITY Renex Dandenong, Vic 70,000t/year integrated waste treatment and resource recovery facility Lycopodium provided engineering design to Renex for a 70,000t/year Integrated Waste Treatment and Resource Recovery facility in Victoria. MANUFACTURING ROOM EXPANSION Yakult Dandenong, Vic Expansion of the manufacturing room for the production of a fermented milk drink Lycopodium became involved in the very early stages of the project, working closely with our client to develop the final design. Lycopodium then carried out the detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the entire project. FINE CHEMICAL FACILITY GlaxoSmithKline Port Fairy, Vic Facility to produce active pharmaceutical alkaloid products Lycopodium developed the project concept and the preliminary engineering in conjunction with the client.
