1 Curriculum vitae di Fiorenzo FRANCESCHINI Fiorenzo Franceschini si è laureato con lode in Ingegneria Nucleare presso il Politecnico di Torino (1984). Dal 2000 è Professore Ordinario e, dal 1997, titolare del corso di Ingegneria della Qualità presso la IV Facoltà di Ingegneria del Politecnico di Torino. È Senior Member dell'asq (American Society for Quality), Full Member di INFORMS (The Institute for Operation Research and Management Science) e membro AITEM (Associazione Italiana di Tecnologia Meccanica). È membro dell'editorial Board delle riviste Quality Engineering, International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management e Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers - Part B - Journal of Engineering Manufacture. Collabora come revisore alle riviste scientifiche: IIE Transaction; Research in Engineering Design; International Journal of Production Research; European Journal of Operational Research; International Journal of Quality Science; Robotics and Computer Integrated Manufacturing. È membro dell'albo "experts database" per la valutazione dei progetti di ricerca presentati alla Comunità Europea, nell'ambito della sezione RTD (Research Technological Development) - Industrial and Materials Technologies. Attualmente è Direttore del Dipartimento di Ingegneria Gestionale e della Produzione del Politecnico di Torino. Autore o coautore di 9 libri e circa 170 pubblicazioni a stampa, presentate su riviste e/o congressi nazionali e/o internazionali, svolge attività di ricerca nell'ambito della Qualità, dei Sistemi di Valutazione dei processi e delle organizzazioni, della Misurazione e Controllo della Qualità nella Produzione e della Metrologia Industriale. Attualmente coordina alcuni progetti in ambito qualità per importanti imprese pubbliche e private. Testo inglese Fiorenzo Franceschini graduated cum laude in Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Torino (1984). Since 2000 is Full Professor, and since 1997 he teaches Quality Engineering at the same Polytechnic University. He is a Senior Member of ASQ (American Society for Quality), Full Member of INFORMS (The Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences) and AITEM member (Associazione Italiana di Tecnologia Meccanica). He is a member of the Editorial Board of Quality Engineering, International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, and Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers - Part B - Journal of Engineering Manufacture. He works as referee for the International Journal of Quality Science, IIE transaction; Research in Engineering Design; International Journal of Production Research; European Journal of Operational Research; Robotics and Computer Integrated Manufacturing. He is a member of the European Experts Database as evaluator of the Research Technological Development (RTD) proposals in Industrial and Materials Technologies for the European Community. Currently, he is Head of the Department of Management and Production Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino. He is author and coauthor of 9 books and about 170 published papers in scientific journals, and international conference proceedings. His current research interests are in the areas of Quality Engineering, Performance Measurement Systems, Statistical Process Control, and Industrial Metrology. At present, he coordinates some important projects in the area of Quality Management for Public and Private organizations.
