10 Need for a PM/BA hybrid professional The business analyst is being called upon to take more responsibility for project management. (CIO Insight) The project manager is being called upon to take more responsibility for business analysis. (CIO Insight) Over 70% of all projects require both project management and business analysis expertise. 11 Job market for the PM/BA hybrid professional On November 14, 2009 I conducted a variety of searches of the 3 major online job markets listed below. I was looking for positions requiring both significant PM and BA skills and experiences. I got the following results: Monster: 1390 positions Dice: 204 positions HotJobs: 322 positions TOTAL: 1916 open PM/BA hybrid positions! So there is a demand for these hybrid professionals. But where are the qualified candidates? And who has programs to prepare them? NOTE: I did not identify or try to remove duplicates.
