2 10 YONSEI JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES Abhisheck Kumar / Vikram Singh Symbiosis Law School/Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Law School, Noida [email protected] Abhishek Kumar is a 4th year student of B.B.A, LL.B at Symbiosis Law School, Noida. Abhishek has interned at a premier law firm and corporate house and with reputed senior advocate (Addtional Solicitor General of India) thereby gaining comprehensive exposure to the issues involved in litigation and legal management. He has represented Symbiosis Law School in the national level moot court competition. He is a vivid researcher and actively participated in the organising legal awareness programs in various villages of Bihar and engaged with various organizations, who are working for social and economic justice of various under-privileged communities. Mr. Vikram Singh is an assistant professor of law at the Symbiosis Law School, Noida, a constituent of Symbiosis International University; Pune, India. He graduated from S.D College, Ambala Cantt, and Haryana. He pursued his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from M.M.H (P.G) College, Ghaziabad, India. After Completing his LL.B in 2007, he practiced as an advocate at the Civil Court, Ghaziabad and the Supreme Court of India at New Delhi. In 2009 he went on to pursue his post graduate work in Law from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi with a specialization in criminal law and human rights. He qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship Exam in 2010.

Gauthier, M.A. graduated from Elon University in 2006, and is presently a PhD candidate in American history at Fordham University. Specializing in U.S. diplomatic history, he is at work on a dissertation examining the intellectual and cultural history of U.S. foreign relations with the Democratic People s Republic of Korea from 1948 to He has previously written for NKnews.org and theatlantic.com. Cameron Gable University of San Francisco [email protected] Cameron Gable is from Orange County, California. He currently attends the University of San Francisco where he is pursuing a degree in political science. Cameron has served as the President of Harvard Model Congress and currently serves on the board of public relations for Associated Students of University of San Francisco (ASUSF). He writes a weekly column for the We Speak English Project (WSEP) and founded a charter branch in San Francisco. Cameron has lived in Spain and traveled extensively to conduct research for other ventures. He writes about his travels and experiences in his online travel blog. In his spare time, Cameron enjoys competing in triathlons, traveling, writing, and learning about different cultures.

4 12 YONSEI JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES Dylan Stent Graduate School of International Studies at Yonsei University Dylan Stent was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, and is a fourth semester student at Yonsei Graduate School of International Studies. He specializes in regional integration in the Asia Pacific region looking at integration from Pacific and Asian points of view. He received a BA Hons First Class majoring in International Relations and a BA in Asian studies from Victoria University of Wellington. Upon graduating from Victoria University of Wellington he received a Korean Government Scholarship. This scholarship involves a fully funded one year Korean language course, and a two year master s degree at Yonsei University. Geoffrey Fattig University of California San Diego s School of International Relations and Pacific Studies [email protected] Geoffrey Fattig is a graduate student at the University of California San Diego s School of International Relations and Pacific Studies. He has lived and worked in South Korea for a number of years. His research interests include inter-korean relations, South Korean politics, and North Korean refugee issues. He is a frequent contributor to the website Foreign Policy in Focus. Jie Gao / Sean J. McLaughlin Assistant professor of History, Carroll University / History Department, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater [email protected] Dr. Jie Gao is an Assistant Professor of Modern Chinese History at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin and Dr. Sean J. McLaughlin is a Lecturer in American History at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Both are graduates of the PhD program at The University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, and collaborate frequently on projects relating to twentieth century Sino-American relations.

Rozpedowski is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Government & International Affairs at the University of South Florida, an LL.M Student at the University of Liverpool School of Law, and the Fulbright-University of Liverpool Postgraduate Scholar. Scott Lichtenstein Graduate School of International Studies at Yonsei University [email protected] Scott Lichtenstein is a second-year master s candidate in economic development at the Graduate School of International Studies at Yonsei University. He is focusing on finance and the process of development in Asia. Scott graduated in 2006 with a bachelor s degree in chemistry from Harvard University and has worked for two startups in Asia. Most recently, he is the CEO of Imperial Publishing, an educational content and technology company based in Washington State, USA, and operating throughout Asia.

6 14 YONSEI JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES Tania Sebastian Assistant Professor of Law with Gujarat National Law University Tania Sebastian is Assistant Professor of Law with Gujarat National Law University and teaches both undergraduates and postgraduates. She holds her post-graduate degree in Intellectual Property (IP) Laws from the Indian Law Institute and graduated with distinction. She has published articles in reputed national and international journals on the various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and has also lectured on IPRs in various Indian universities. She has also been part of panels and discussion forums on IP centric issues. Prior to her work as an academician, Tania has practiced before the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, Labor Courts of Delhi at Karkardooma, and the Central Administrative Tribunal at Delhi, dealing exclusively with labor and service law related issues for nearly three years. She has also handled meditation matters before the Delhi High Court Mediation Cell on labor matters. Additionally, she has worked with the Delhi Judicial Academy as a law researcher and was, briefly, the legal advisor for the Indian Social Institute, a Delhi based NGO in special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the UN. Ted Voelkel Graduate School of International Studies at Yonsei University [email protected] Ted Voelkel is a second-year master s candidate in the Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies, where his focus is in Korean Studies. Originally from San Jose, California, he graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 2001 with a B.A. in Film Studies with honors. He has lived in South Korea for twelve years, having married and begun a family there. He is currently working on a master s thesis concerning the potential effects of formal and informal network affiliation on identity formation among professional migrants in South Korea, and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in the field of sociology after finishing his master s degree. His areas of academic interest include general theories of epistemology, the sociology of religion, and qualitative social science research.
