2 Overview Ransford Pest Control A client since April 2014, Boston Web Marke<ng was tasked with online marke<ng services specifically geared towards Ransford Pest Control s Framingham loca<on. Ini$ally many new founda<onal pillars were established. Website op<miza<on from the back- end was conducted immediately, followed by a slew of new social media account crea<on, local database synchroniza<on, and lis<ng site con<nuity and expansion. Eventually other efforts were phased in. This included slight yet important site redesigns, blogging, and service area pages. Having installed Google Analy<cs and Webmasters, we are able to document and analyze the traffic to your site, and through these tools of measurement we will describe Ransford Pest Control s (Framingham loca<on specific) online presence from an SEO standpoint. This report will cover: On- site op<miza<on ac<vi<es Traffic analy<cs Off- site op<miza<on ac<vi<es Search results posi<oning Sugges<ons moving forward Social media ac<vi<es

3 On-Site Optimization Meta data We have combed through every page on the Ransford site and op<mized each page s meta <tles and meta descrip<ons. Op<mizing these properly is integral to Google understanding each individual page s purpose. This then enables your pages to be more readily retrieved when users search related queries are in Google. Loca$on Specific Contact Us Pages Instead of having one contact us page containing both loca<ons, we changed your contact us menu drop down to include one designated page per loca<on. This deliberately and more clearly indicates to Google the presence of each loca<on. In general, websites with more pages gain higher favorability via Google than those with less. Service Area Pages These pages add evermore content to your site, each targeted toward a specific area in which Ransford seeks to be found. Reitera<ng your services and keywords, these pages help rank Ransford in towns outside of where Ransford has addresses. Thus far, we have added six comprehensive service area pages for the towns of: 1. Westborough 2. Sudbury 3. Hudson 4. Ashland 5. Hopkinton 6. Sherborn * No<ce these towns are all immediately surrounding Framingham. We emulate a ripple effect as we target towns outwardly from the central address.

4 Off-Site Optimization Adding or upda<ng your business informa<on to lis<ng sites creates strong back- links throughout the web that increase the chances of your business being found as well as increasing Ransford s favorability to Google s search algorithms. Some of the lis?ng sites we have added or updated you business informa?on on are: Google Places Bing Local Yahoo Local Merchant Circle City Search Hot Frog Yellow Bot Yellow Pages Yellowee Insider Pages City Squares Show Me Local Yellow Assistance Manta

5 Social Media Social media sites aren t only useful for gaining a following and having direct access to them at any given <me, they also act as addi<onal facets of your online presence that are indexed by Google and provide strong back- links to your site. This is what we ve been doing for your social media: Google+ We created a Google+ page specifically for the Framingham loca<on. We have op<mized this profile and posted blogs through to this new Google+ profile. Facebook Created a Facebook business page specifically for the Framingham loca<on. This page has been op<mized and is regularly updated with new blogs.

6 Traffic Analytics Overview This sec<on will review the traffic sta<s<cs via the Google Analy<cs tool. Having installed Google Analy<cs on the Ransford site aaer our first call in late March, April is the first available data points. Below are various analy<cs parameters comparing the first 30 days of Boston Web Marke<ng s service (April 1 May 1) to the most recent 30 days (Jul 14 Aug 14). Le.: This figure describes the percent of change between April 1 May 1 and Jul 14 Aug 14, first considering sessions, and next users, and lastly page views. These numbers indicate sustained and robust growth. Below: This is a visual representa<on of website sessions orange describing date range April 1 May 1 and blue describing Jul 14 Aug 14. Of the lafer date range (in blue), peaks and troughs are considerably higher. Overall, this graph describes a very strong increase in sessions.

7 Traffic Analytics Geo The figures below describes geographically specific traffic to your site. No<ce the increase in blue area on the lea map as compared to the orange areas on the map to the right. Again, we see robust improvement in traffic, especially surrounding the Framingham area.

Framingham s traffic has more than tripled, while surrounding towns have also had a net increase in traffic. July 14 th August 14 th April 1 st May 1 st In this <me frame, Framingham sessions more than tripled. Note: Worcester results decreased in this <me frame, going from 83 sessions to 76 sessions.

9 Traffic Analytics Acquisition Right: This pie chart describes the percentage of traffic to your site via organic search result hits, referral traffic (lis<ng sites, external links, etc), direct traffic (users directly typing in ransfordpc.com into their address bar), and social media traffic (traffic from Rasford s Facebook, Google+, or Twifer) Le.: This chart describes current traffic via organic search hits and referral traffic, comparing date ranges April 1 May 1 to Jul 14 Aug 14. This chart includes overall sessions, percentage of new sessions, and quan<ty of new users. With new user growth at over 50%, your site is being seen by more people and expanding it s audience, while new sessions also increased almost 14%, indica<ng previous visitors to the site have been returning at a higher rate. A healthy variety of these two growth parameters is essen<al to sustaining current traffic as well as expanding into a audience. Service Area Pages: These pages should con<nue to be expanded. Ransford s reach is already significant, however towns further out from Framingham can begin to be targeted. Blogs: Expanding the frequency and breadth of blogs would be beneficial, not only to add more content and target more service and towns, but also to provide more content to post through to social media. Pictures and details of recent jobs, new technologies, company news, or other related stories serve as excellent material for strong and simple blogs that can be wrifen, posted, and have las<ng effect.
