2 WFBS installation best practise, preparations and how to Preparation for 2008 Server IIS: Configuring the required Internet Information Services (IIS) roles for installing Trend Micro programs: For Information click here [Info: MSA or Plug-in requires IIS] Download Center: Click here to Download Please make sure that Begin installation after download completes is unchecked if you just want to download the installation file:

3 Once the download is completed, the downloader will extract the file and launches the installation The installation window will appear, click on next to begin the installation; Review the licence terms and accept them in order to continue the installation process. Select the type of installation you want to do: We will focus on the custom installation on this slide. Click next and enter your activation code and click next (if you don t enter an activation code, you will use the trial version). Click next on the overview Window. The next screen will allow you to change the installation path to another folder or drive depending on your needs, click next once you choose the installation path. On the screen you will be able to change the smart Scan Server installation path, you install the Smart Scan Server on another folder or drive depending on your needs. Click next.

5 On the next screen you will see all Features that will be installed depending on your configuration, once you have selected the features you want to install click next.

6 On this screen you will have the possibility to choose the Web server you want to use to host the Worry Free console; You can choose either IIS or Apache. Recommended would be IIS (virtual website). Click Next

7 On the next window you have the possibility to use either the domain name or an IP address (if your server has multiple network cards) for the Web server as well as the HTTP and HTTPS port.

8 On the next screen you will be prompted to create a password for the security console and the security agent:

9 Once the password is setup click next and you will be prompted to setup the SMTP server from which you will send the notifications:

10 Enter the details if you want to receive notifications, otherwise leave the default values. Click next. On the next Screen you will be able to configure the proxy server settings, in case you have one. Click next. On this screen you will be able to configure the default destination folder for the agent on the client computer, and the Security Agent Listening port, this port is use for the communication between the Security Agent and the Security Server, click next.

11 On the next screen you will be able to configure the Security Agents settings to enable or disable the needed feature (we recommend you to activate the behaviour monitoring and the device control to be efficiently protected against new threats). Click next, on the next screen we advise you to enable the Trend micro Smart Feedback, as it will help us improve our product and offer a better protection against threats. Click next.

12 On this screen you can enter the credentials for the proxy if needed. Click next Click Next, and next again on the new screen, for the Worry Free Business Security Advanced users, you will now be able to install the Messaging Security Agent:

13 Once you setup the password, click next, on the new screen you can change the default installation path for the Messaging Security Agent, once you have selected the folder or drive where you want to the MSA to be installed click next. On the review screen, where you will be able to review your installation settings by clicking on Summary, click next the next window will indicate that MSXML 4.0 SP3 will be installed (if not already present on the computer), click next, the server computer will be scanned for malware prior to installation, then the installation will begin, during the installation process the Security Agent installation packages for 32 and 64 bits OS will be created and the MSA will be installed as well. Once the installation of the security server is done, the Security agent will be installed, once installed you will be able to connect the web consol.
