Statement of intent (max. 300 words) My previous employment has been with civil service (18 years), the last 11 years volunteering. I serve the community in different advocacy programmes on HIV/AIDS, T.B,Malaria and HIV/TB prevention research.i also work with the infected and affected of HIV/AIDS in Kisumu City.As a community coordinator for the Aids Candle Light Memorial Programme has provided the community a platform for the last 6 years to air their voices on issues that affect us.my experience with the community brings the opportunity to influence interventions management practices and policy frameworks in community based institutions to realize transformational and sustainable development I have represented grass root community at in various forums through Right Based Approaches e.g. development of our national AIDS Strategic plan, community advisory board,hiv Research, I am PLWHIV also a member of several social support groups (Women Fighting Aids in Kenya, Society Women and Aids in Kenya, and Global Network of People living with HIV/AIDS and the Kenya Aids NGO Consortium-current Nyanza representative ) and many others Given a chance will enable us to learn and share experiences, expand our knowledge, be of benefit to humanity and my education and experience could make me a good choice and I am available immediately.
