17 23 Conclusions and outlook Improving conversion soluble COD into sludge (A-stage) and preventing wash-out of solids to the B-stage can significantly increase amount of sludge for digestion Dynamic filtration shows promising results Relative stable flux on B-stage, except with Rain Water Flow Acceptable filtrate quality Flux is related to the sludge quality Back wash required, room for improvement An energy saving WWTP by dynamic filtration of A-stage sludge is not yet proven to be feasible
