Provided direct psychological services to patients and supervised a staff of three consulting psychologists during the hospital's first six months of operation : Altoona Hospital Community Mental Health Center, Altoona, Pennsylvania. Consultation duties involved comprehensive psychological responsibilities with inpatient and outpatient populations : Norristown State Hospital, Norristown, Pennsylvania. This internship position involved the full range of psychological services including therapy, assessment, and administration. Adult, adolescent, and substance abusing populations were served. Major work was in the Pennsylvania State Regional Forensic Evaluation Center conducting court-related psychological and neuropsychological evaluations as part of the forensic evaluation team : Methodist Home Children's Guidance Center and the Heart of Texas Mental Health/Mental Retardation Center in Waco, Texas. Duties included family, marital, child and group therapy work. Psychological assessment, intake evaluation, and community consultation were involved, as was supervision of testing technicians. Also worked in a team of consultants to Child Protective Services providing direct service to abusing families and consultation with agency personnel : Functioned in a team of consultants to the school system of a community of 25,000 near Waco, Texas. System consultation and direct psychological services to the schools were provided : Teacher for the Cedar Rapids Community Schools in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Teaching duties included instruction in language arts, philosophy, substance abuse education in family life, speech, and dramatics. For two years participated in a team conducting research for the federal government on the nature of the junior high school student : Taught in a ghetto school in Dayton, Ohio : During two summers, work included employment as a counselor at a wilderness camp in Ontario, Canada, operated from an Adlerian perspective. Other work experiences include functioning as a professional actor and theatrical public relations representative, salesman, construction worker, pet store manager, soda jerk, and pizza chef.
