1 The Accountants Personal Traits Needed For Uttaradit Business Parinda Sangsawang Uttaradit Rajabhat University (Thailand) Abstract This survey research aimed at the accountants characters needed by business people in Uttaradit and the analysis of business programs planning in accord with the teaching of accounting. The time-span for studying was from November B.E October B.E There were 129 subjects in the sample group. The collected data were analyzed using statistical method frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, one-way ANOVA and post hoc. The study revealed that in general the business people in Uttaradit did not mind about the gender. However prefer the age of with 2 3 years of experience. Bachelor degree was accepted with no specific institutions required. They were in high level needing of accounting qualification, knowledge and expert with the following from high to low: qualification, expert and knowledge. The industry business, trading business and service business needed not different accountants characters. Keywords: Accountants Characters, Uttaradit Business The Purpose of the Study 1. To study the characters, knowledge and expertise of the accountants needed by Uttaradit business sectors. 2. To analyses the guide line and lesson planning in accord to the accounting curriculum. The Research Procedure The study was conducted using survey research with cross-section study during November B.E to October B.E The population for the study was Uttaradit business group divided into 3 categories: industrial business, trading business and service business. The sample size was allowed to error not over 5% at.05 level of confidence. The reliable sample size groups obtained were 129. The data were collected at convenience using stratified sampling method in accord to the type of business. The questionnaires were open ended. The collected data were analyzed using statistic method. 1

2 The Research Results 1. General accountant characters All business sectors needed the accountants with no different characters. The needed accountants might be male or female at the age of years old with 2 3 years of experience. Their education should be bachelor degree graduation with no specific institution. 2. Specific character knowledge and accounting expertise The industrial, trading and service business needed accountants differently from the list of importance and need as shown in the tables. Their age should be between years old with 2-3 years experience. They suppose to have bachelor degree in accord to the requirement of the accounting act B.E which indicates that the company with 5 million baht or more in trade registration must equip with bachelor degree graduate accountant. The institution of their graduation is not important. The specific requirement which is the most important for them are business character or qualification, fluency or expert and knowledge as well as trade scarf keeping. The business secret keeping, virtue, morality and honesty are also in their badly need. The above requirements are very necessary at present especially the business with large sum of money investment. We believe that the accountant is one of the most important factors of business. Not only data presentation for outsides but also for business administrators to make right and accurate decision. That is why the accounting continuing education is a must for every accountant in order to make his/her self development to keep up with the growing and changing world of business. It may not possible for all kinds of business operators, so the result of this study may be considered as the basic background for wider business research in the future. 2. The next research project for this kind of study should change to use other factors and statistic procedure with differ time spand of study to check the different results. 3.
