7 Entrepreneurship education at SDU In courses, 2400 students enrolled Obligatory entrepreneurship courses for all business students and engineering students (bachelor level) Elective courses at many studies Specialization: BA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation; Master in Strategic Entrepreneurship; Master in Product Development & Innovation; Msc. Business & Innovation Science Innovator course for Ph.D. students (cross-disciplinary) Innovation oriented pedagogies & training activities for educators Non-curriculum activities: IDEA Summer Camp, Venture Cup, IDEA House activities, innovation camps with companies..

10 IDEAs history Started by the Danish Government 2005 Funding : 5 mio. Euro from Government, 2 mio. from private firms, 4 mio. from municipalities/regional authorities In 2010 transformed into an entrepreneurship centre at SDU Annual budget about 1 mio. Euro 80% external funding 27. september

13 IDEA Entrepreneurship Centre Is a cross-campus and cross-faculty competence centre at the University of Southern Denmark Foster innovation & entrepreneurship education and training. Organizes regular entrepreneurship courses at the Masters and Ph.D. level Non-curriculum activities such as university-business events, start-up facilitation etc. Provides training support and tools national & international Works closely with external partners such as entrepreneurs, business leaders, advisers and investors.
