Examples include: APS advisory committees, councils and boards (e.g., ACI, TCI) Student groups (e.g., Student Advisory Board, Partnership Teen Board) B School PTAs and Faculty Civic/neighborhood associations Partnership for Children, Youth, and Families NAACP, Arlington Latino Network Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment 15

23 Draft Plan Analysis (SWOT) When: April Who: Steering Committee What: Review and analyze the draft strategic plan in terms of APS strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) for both improvement and growth. Consider forum and survey data. Why: Analysis will inform the strategies needed to respond to APS challenges and achieve the district s mission, vision, goals and student learning targets. 23
24 Strategies and Indicators When: May Who: Executive Committee (APS Leadership + Steering Committee Co-chairs) What and Why: From the draft strategic plan and the SWOT analysis, senior staff will lay out the game plan to achieve the goals identified in the strategic plan (strategy map) and the measures/indicators to monitor APS progress with respect to these goals (balanced scorecard). 24
