Associate professor in Department of psychology, ISlamic Azad University,Torbate jam, iran Abstract Addiction is one of the most important contemporary problems in which all countries have expanded. Tragedy that has destroyed millions of lives and national wealth spent fighting or compensation arising from them, so that the number of victims using of opiates is increased and family and community health centers are threatened by creating different psychological, physical, cultural, familial, economic effects. So should provide some context to the identification and treatment and follow-up to be planned targeted. The purpose of this study was to identify and determine the relationship between addicted people s eq and eq of healthy individuals who quartiles and identify those at risk of drug abuse and addiction preventive measures for their choice of treatment and support services, counseling for addicts.the research is descriptive, causal-comparative research that has been made in addiction treatment clinic in mashhad city.the sample included 30 females in two separate groups of 15 people addicts and 15 healthy subjects. Persons addicted addiction clinic clients who were willing to cooperate and participate in this study were selected and a 90-item questionnaire was given to patients. The research method is descriptive, causal-comparative and has been done using statistical tests and mini-tab application that it was shown that the presumptions were proven emotional intelligence of addicts are lower than normal subjects, the significant difference between the two groups ei was observed. Discussion: With according to research and similar studies within and outside the country we can conclude that emotional intelligence is an important factor in addiction and teaching strategies in increasing the deterrent emotional intelligence can be considered Published By RRAMT France Ltd. Keywords: addiction, emotional intelligence, women; 1. Introduction The face of addiction and dependency drew a heavy curtains on dark emotional and economic and political structure of many iranian families and undermines the basis of marriage fundamentals. 2 their short life and the dreams pseudoseizure spent down on the corner - at under the cardboard cartons and at warm house of the welfare organization and a night or mid-night they lost their life. Recent research on addiction has focused on multiple risk factors and etiology. Although much emphasis on social factors in drug disposition, but substance abuse can have a serious relationship with psychological and biological processes. One of the factors examined in the study is the concept of emotional intelligence, which is: ((a bunch of skills, talents and abilities that increases a person's ability to succeed in coping with environmental pressures and requirements)). Accordingly, emotional intelligence is one of the success factors in the life of a person and includes components such as: intera-personal relationship skills, interpersonal relationships, stress management, coping with change and optimism. These components are directly related to mental health. Individuals who have ability to detect, control and use their emotional abilities make their lifestyle in a manner that experience fewer negative consequences. The control of impulsive behavior is less susceptibility to substance abuse increases. Perhaps the most basic mental skills that should be considered and training is resist the impulse. This is the root of all emotional self-control. Due to the inherent nature of all emotion as impulsive act will end. Thus, emotional control allows a person to think and act in the face of environmental stimuli better. A review of findings in the field of emotional intelligence show, probably one of the main reasons for the tendency of individuals with substance abuse is problems and shortcomings in the broad field of emotion. People who are involved in substance use behaviors, have lower emotional intelligence. In other words, these people encounter with difficulties in paying attention to emotional information, the correct perception, correct handling and proper management of emotions in interpersonal relationships. These difficulties, causing individuals to deal with stressful situations in life, lose the ability to analyze, decide and select the proper conduct and draw to uncompromised behaviors. In this sense we can consider the substance abuse as an undeveloped defense mechanism, so that those with lower emotional intelligence in dealing with problematic situations are brought into play. In other words, due to the low level of emotional intelligence which caused by management's inability to deal effectively with the excitement is involved in the onset of substance abuse. When the person is under pressure by the peers for taking the drug, the effective management of emotion is as one of the components of emotional intelligence, risk taking reduces. People who have high emotional intelligence, are more capable in predicting other demands. They understand the unwanted peer pressure better and gain control of their emotions and thus show more resistant to drug using. Social skills such as assertiveness, causes the person to express opposing views, rejecting the request or command with peers and avoid compliance with peremptory them, the ideas and feelings of opposition from many risk behaviors such as smoking or avoid material. With this training an individual learns to assess answers and solutions to solve various problems. Heading styles Addiction is one of the most important contemporary problems in all developed countries. Research method: The research is descriptive and causal-comparative research has been done in the area of addiction clinics. The sample included 30 females in two separate groups of 15 people are addicts and 15 healthy subjects. Persons addicted addiction clinic clients who were willing to cooperate and participate in this study were selected and a 90- item questionnaire was given to patients using mini-tab application. 3. Tables Data analysis: For statistical procedure we use minitab software in our research. First, the demographic characteristics of the target population is shown by using descriptive statistics and bar charts: Descriptive statistics: c1 : age of people total Variable c 3 count percent cumpct mean stdev minimum q1 q3 C1 motad salem Variable c3 maximum C1 motad
4 Percentage percentage Reef Resources Assessment and Management Technical Paper, Vol. 40 (3), 2014, 1, pp salem You can see that the two communities are people who are addicted and healthy or normal and in each group 15 people filled out the questionnaire. Addicts average age 27 years and mean age of healthy people is 30 years old, distribution of age is more in healthy people group. 50% of drug addicts examined between 25 years to 28 years of age and 50% of normal persons between 28 years to 33 years. Diagram of education level 100% 60% 40% 0% of responders فوق دیپلم دیپلم First, we coded the questionnaire, the questions with positive aspects are grading from 1 to 5 of and questions with negative aspects are grading from one to five. The purpose of this study is to investigate the hypothesis that the emotional intelligence of ordinary people with addicts is different or not? Here the first group is addicted individuals and second group is normal individuals are considered. Now averages of the two groups are investigated and analyzed to choose the appropriate statistical test of normality, we examine the mean. Below you can see the averages and the normality test results. Probability Plot of C92 Diagram of marital status 100% 60% 40% 0% of responders 53% 47% متاهل مجرد Mean StDev N 30 AD P-Value Percent C According to this fact that the probability of anderson darling is lower than 0.05, we can see that averages are not normal. So the proper method is using un-parametric tests and the one we can use in this review is mann whitney. We now examine the research hypothesis with whitney test and the decision to accept or reject our hypothesis. The research hypothesis is defined as follows: H 0 : μ 1 = μ 2 H 1 : μ 1 μ 2 Tests of the hypothesis are below: 549
5 Mann-whitney test and ci: addicted, healthy n median Motad Salem Point estimate for eta1-eta2 is percent ci for eta1-eta2 is ( , ) W = Test of eta1 = eta2 vs eta1 not = eta2 is significant at The test is significant at (adjusted for ties) Given the amount of p-value is less than 0.05, it follows that, h_0 hypothesis is rejected, which means the h_1 hypothesis is accepted and approved. This means that emotional intelligence of ordinary people are significantly different with addicts. And according to the average in the test, we can see that emotional intelligence of ordinary and healthy people is in a higher level than addicts. You see that 2 reviewed groups are addict and healthy individuals. In each group 15 people filled out questionnaire. The average age for addicts is 27 and for healthy people is 30. Age distribution in healthy people is more than addicted people. %50 of addicts are between 25 and 28 and %50 of healthy people are between 28 and 33. Discussion: Given the importance of prevention and treatment of addiction and given the ruinous effects of addiction whether at the individual or household level and community level, and according to this research and according to other studies in and abroad, and based importance in the prevention of addiction in people's emotional intelligence and low emotional intelligence in addicts than in healthy individuals, it is recommended to include training classes to increase emotional intelligent components to prevent addiction. Also doing more researches in this field and changing the cultural environment of the society for accepting addicted person and returning him to the community and healthy life is required. Finally according to the importance of the issue and reducing the age of addiction in society members, it is suggested to include training courses in school curriculum and emotional intelligence skills are taught to children in their famiies.
