1 TONIGHT S GAME: The Nashville Sounds and Okalahoma City Dodgers play game two of a four-game series tonight at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Dodgers have won seven of the fi rst nine against the Sounds this season and hold a advantage in the all-time series. Tonight s game will be broadcast live on The Game. Jeff Hem is on the call. ON THE MOVE: The Oakland Athletics made player moves that have affected the Nashville Sounds roster. Yesterday afternoon, reliever Joe Paterson was released by Oakland. The left-hander made just two outings with the Sounds after signing as a minor league free agent on May 25. Infi elder Ryan Roberts was activated from the temporary inactive list today and fi rst baseman Ike Davis joins Nashville on a rehab assignment. Roberts leads the Sounds with a.305 average (46-for-151), while Davis has played in 32 games with the A s this season (.282, 2 HR, 11 RBI,.427 SLG). ABOUT LAST NIGHT: Oklahoma City s infi elder Andy Wilkins launched a three-run homer in the sixth inning last night, and the Dodgers beat the Sounds 3-1. Barry Zito delivered his fourth straight quality start and extended his scoreless streak to 26 2/3 innings, but suffered the loss after allowing the home run. Bryan Anderson supplied Nashville s only offense, hitting a long ball in the loss. STARTING OFF: Pitcher A.J. Griffin was added to the Sounds roster yesterday on rehab assignment and will make the start tonight. The right-hander is making his way back from Tommy John surgery and pitched seven scoreless innings over two starts with Advanced-A Stockton during the last 10 days. The 27-year old last appeared in Triple-A in 2012 and tonight is his fi rst start against OKC. SHARPENING THE STAFF: Nashville s 3.23 ERA is the best mark in the PCL. After going 1-11 in April, Nashville s starting pitchers are with 20 quality starts. Through their last 20 games, the Sounds have 14 wins and a 1.95 ERA (37er/170.2ip). Overall, the Sounds have surrendered the fewest hits in the league (447) and have notched a league-leading six combination shutouts. DOWN TO THE WIRE: The Sounds have played a league-leading 22 one-run games. Despite accruing a record in those games, Nashville has won six of its last seven one-run contests.
