Other Relevant Work Experience: Present: Chief organizer of Working Group Academic Publishing in Political Science at HSE. The group meets every 2-3 weeks and gives members of the HSE community a chance to present papers and articles that they plan to submit to be published. The chief goal is to allow presenters to receive the maximum amount of feedback before sending their works on to be peer-reviewed Present: I am working closely with the Carnegie Center Moscow, the New Eurasia Foundation Moscow, Peking University and the Observer Foundation of India on a o goi g proje t: BRIC 2025: Alter ati e Glo al Futures. The purpose of the proje t is to gather together experts from the BRIC countries and to construct alternative 3

4 s e arios for the future of glo al politi s, aki to the Natio al I tellige e Cou il s 2025 Report Present: Project Manager for the Unger Family Foundation. The fou datio s mission is to provide professional education and training to government officials in Croatia in order to improve the quality of governance in that county : Research Fellow at the Institute of International Studies, UC Berkeley, duties include: independent research, organizing speakers and conferences, and project management. 2005: I held a six-month internship at the US Embassy in Moscow. I work directly for the Office of the Ambassador, Alexander Vershbow. Duties included: Preparing background material for a conference on Russia-Chinese relations that was attended by the American, German, British and French ambassadors. Compiling reports for the E assy s Politi al e tio (i this apa ity I atte ded the Khodorko sky trial as a observer and representative of the US Embassy) : I completed several reports for Global Business Networks (GBN) commissioned by US government bodies, including reports on Russian-Chinese relations, US border security, and left wing nationalism in Latin America : Graduate Student Researcher for Professor Andrew C. Janos of the Political Science Department at UC Berkeley : Assistant Editor, Media Scan, English language daily newspaper in Zagreb Croatia. I also worked as a freelance journalist in Zagreb and published numerous articles on Croatian politics for Radio Free Europe Newsline, Transitions, and Salon.com.
