New cloning options in Templates Ben Felton Telephone/Helpdesk:
Overview of the solution Capita have enhanced Assessment Manager to allow cloning between subjects. You only have to create a formula once and clone it across all years and subjects. This function will save huge amounts of time when creating large amounts of assessment content.
DEMO
Assessment Mapping in SIMS.net Ben Felton Telephone/Helpdesk:
Overview of the solution Capita have created a tool that allows schools to map their own assessment data to the Capita content. This creates a standardised collection of aspects and resultsets in all schools that create the mapping. Capita are providing analysis content referencing the Capita assessment content. Mappings can be shared between schools if you are using the same assessment content.

School Report Ben Felton Telephone/Helpdesk:
Overview of the solution New automated report giving the school a snapshot of their data Found under Reports School Report

Assessing Without Levels for KS3 Ben Felton Telephone/Helpdesk:
Overview of the solution Capita have created a new area in SIMS.net from the ground up. Schools will be able to record and track assessment against the new curriculum for all subjects. No need to manage templates and marksheets as the screens are created as needed. Reporting available for individuals and groups. One approach for EYFS, KS1, KS2 and KS3. KS3 will be available from the Summer release. P scales will be available from the Autumn release.

Progress 8 Ben Felton Telephone/Helpdesk: helpdesk@schoolicts.co.uk
Progress 8 - Timeline Wolf review implemented First entry only counted for performance tables Some schools opt for Progress scale used for Attainment 8/Progress 8 New KS2 assessments (Sept 2016 intake) First reformed GCSEs taken (English and Mathematics) 1-9 scale used for new GCSEs More reformed GCSEs First pupils with new KS2 assessments are in Y11
What is Attainment 8? Four buckets English (worth 2) Maths (worth 2) Ebacc (best 3) Other (best 3) School must take into account discounting to avoid similar courses Divide total by 10
What is Progress 8? Compare your attainment 8 total score for each student against expected score based on KS2 result:
What is Progress 8? The difference between the expected and actual Attainment 8 total is then divided by 10 to give you the students Progress 8 score. You then average all Progress 8 scores in the cohort to calculate the school s Progress 8.
Confidence Intervals The government have provided a confidence interval formula to check the validity of the Progress 8 measure.
Floor standard The minimum requirement will be set on the Progress 8 measure. This measure will be used because it takes into account each school s intake, and so is the fairest way to identify an underperforming school. It rightly focuses attention on schools which are contributing least to the development of their pupils. A school is below the floor if P8 < -0.5 and significantly different from 0
