Loucretia Hollingsworth College Scholarship Named in honor of a past Girl Scouts of the Deep South board president, this one time scholarship of $1, will be awarded each year to a graduating senior Girl Scout who will be enrolled full time at an accredited college or university. Applicants must reside in one of the following counties: Baldwin, Clarke, Choctaw, Conecuh, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe and Washington. The aim of this scholarship is to reach the girl who may or may not have outstanding academic achievements, but has the ability to develop in college and who has demonstrated a commitment to helping other people. Selections will be based first and foremost on the applicant s contribution to society through service and her desire to continue this contribution through a career of helping others. Application Procedures 1. Complete the application and essay and submit by March 1 st of graduating year to the Mobile Service Center Springhill Avenue, Mobile, AL Complete applicant sections of recommendation forms. Present each one with a stamped, addressed envelope to the Girl Scout Leader, Teacher/Principal and one other person who knows your service oriented activities (i.e. pastor, club advisor, youth leader). Request that each recommendation is returned to the Service Center by March 15 th of graduating year.
