2 Allen Tate Relocation Allen Tate Relocation is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Allen Tate Company, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. Beginning as a relocation department for one of the largest independently owned real estate organizations; relocation services quickly became a major division within the organization. In 1968, Allen Tate Relocation emerged as its own company and expanded its services based on the needs of our growing client base. Today, Allen Tate Relocation is regarded as an independent relocation management firm offering a full range of professionally developed and administered services. As an independent supplier of relocation services Allen Tate is free to select the best broker in any given market or network. Based on years of interactions with brokers and suppliers nationwide, we have established solid business relationships and can offer outstanding relocation performance. We provide a full range of relocation and corporate services on a national and international level. A relocation program can be customized to meet your corporation s needs and fit with the culture of your company. Relocation services are provided through the relocation center. The goal is to offer a one stop resource for transferring alumnus and make relocation easy for everyone involved. Alumnus are counseled over the telephone and the counselor stays involved with the transferee throughout the complete process.
3 Preview of Relocation Services Provided by Allen Tate Relocation Recognizing that every transferee has needs that are unique and important, Allen Tate Relocation specializes in developing a custom relocation program designed to specifically meet the needs of each transferee. 4 Highlight of Services Allen Tate Relocation can help develop your relocation policy if one is not already in place. This policy would include all facets of alumnus relocation including: moving household goods, assistance in selling the departure area property, selecting a new residence in the destination location and more. The policy spells out what each transferee s benefits. Customized relocation packets will be provided to each person who is offered an opportunity to relocate. These packets contain information on the new location with information on the area, such as golf courses, schools public and private, colleges and universities, houses of worship and area employers for trailing spouses. It also includes tax information, how and where to get a driver s license, attractions in each county, special events and health care. A dedicated relocation counselor will be assigned to each alumnus. This counselor will work with the alumnus to provide detailed information based on their individual situation. Once the counselor has conducted a needs analysis, they will select the bestqualified agent to work with the transferee. The Allen Tate Relocation Center will assist with needs for temporary housing as needed. The Center is able to offer special discounts on temporary housing needs for both furnished and unfurnished apartments. Marketing assistance will be offered to all homeowners who need to sell a property. Allen Tate Relocation has relationships across the country with market dominant and successful real estate companies. These companies, like Allen Tate, are members of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. Our counselor will select two companies to do a detailed market analysis of the property, and will assist the alumnus in selecting the agent to list their property. The counselor then remains in the process until the property is sold and closed, assisting with marketing strategies and ensuring the agent is delivering the services they indicated to the homeowner. Allen Tate Relocation offers the Elite Services Program to selected clients. This program allows for a rebate back to the individual alumnus, or the Corporation (assuming they have a valid Real Estate Broker s license) Please see sample attached.
5 Allen Tate Relocation Benefit Chart: Allen Tate Relocation offers a cash bonus to alumni association who are buying or selling a home and NOT receiving other relocation benefits or moving incentives. As part of the Allen Tate Relocation Program, your alumni association will receive a check from Allen Tate Corporate Services (program administrator) following the successful closing on a home your associates have bought or sold with a real estate agent assigned to your associate through the Allen Tate Relocation program. The bonus is based on the purchase price of the home. If your associates both buy and sell a home through the program, your associates are eligible to receive two bonus checks. *Purchase of new construction may decrease the amount of incentive received. IMPORTANT: To secure benefits through Allen Tate Relocation, you must register for the program through Allen Tate Corporate Services PRIOR to contacting a real estate agent or buying/selling a home. If you contact an agent before registering for the program, you will be ineligible for program benefits.
6 Frequently Asked Questions: 1) Can you provide relocation services outside of the Carolinas? Yes, Allen Tate Relocation partners with many real estate companies throughout the United State and worldwide through the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. In fact, Allen Tate Company is a founding member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, the nation's premier network of more than 550 independent real estate firms in the United States and 30 countries worldwide. Through the Leading Real Estate network, we can help you move just about anywhere. 2) Do our associates have to work with an Allen Tate realtor? No, Allen Tate Relocation can work with any realtor, however that realtor must agree to the same referral fees we negotiate with all of our agents worldwide. That fee is 35%. (Industry average is 40%) 3) How much does the Allen Tate Relocation program cost to The University of North Carolina at Charlotte Alumnus? There is no cost to The University of North Carolina at Charlotte Alumni Association. We recommended The University of North Carolina at Charlotte Alumni Association promote the program to their alumni so that they may take full advantage of the Elite Service Program. 4) Can all of our associates utilize the program and rebate? Yes, any The University of North Carolina at Charlotte Alumni associate worldwide can participate in the relocation program. 5) What other ways do companies utilize your program? UNC Charlotte alumnus can utilize our program for purchasing a second home, vacation property, and investment properties. 6) Will you work with an associate who is interested in leasing? Absolutely we will! However, we require small deposit which will be returned to the associate upon purchasing a home. 7) We have associates who are seeking to downsize their homes and are thinking about retirement, can you provide consultation to these associates as well?
