2 About PRIMA PRIMA s mission is to advance the knowledge and practice of public risk management. PRIMA is the ONLY association that focuses solely on the PUBLIC SECTOR risk management professional. In the evolving field of risk management, PRIMA is your one-stop resource for educational programming, risk resources and networking opportunities.
3 Who Are PRIMA Members? PRIMA s members coordinate risk management, purchase insurance, manage human resources, administer safety and environmental programs, manage labor issues, handle parks and recreation programs and much more!
4 Strategic Plan PRIMA s strategic plan provides a roadmap for the future of the Association and the profession. PRIMA s board of directors has defined a set of goals for the Association that will ensure it continues to be the go-to resource for public sector risk management information.
5 2014 Strategic Goals PRIMA will be the primary resource for public risk management educational programs, products and services. PRIMA will promote and advance the profession of public risk management. PRIMA will establish and enhance the relationships between PRIMA and its stakeholders. PRIMA will be diversified to ensure long-term sustainability. PRIMA will integrate PERI s supporting organizational framework into PRIMA s operational framework.

8 Public Entity Risk institute Partnership In 2013, PRIMA took over operations of the Public Entity Risk Institute (PERI). PRIMA manages all new PERI programs for public entities and nonprofits. In 2014, PRIMA and PERI launched a comprehensive public sector risk management needs assessment survey. The results of the survey will guide all future PERI educational programing for the public sector.
