2 Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) IIT Bombay set up by an Act of Parliament, was established in 1958, at Powai, a northern suburb of Mumbai. Today the Institute is recognized as one of the centers of academic excellence in the country. Over the years, the dynamic progress at IIT Bombay in all academic and research activities, and a parallel improvement in facilities and infrastructure, has kept the institute on par with the best institutions in the world. About 20 percent of its graduates and post-graduates are entrepreneurs many of them first generation. ( Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJM SOM) IITBombay established its management school in 1995 to promote interdisciplinary learning and to keep up with the changing environment and with the objective of transforming professionals to "Renaissance Leaders" of tomorrow. In the year 2000, the school was renamed as Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, in honor of Dr. Shailesh J. Mehta, a distinguished alumnus of IIT Bombay and a generous contributor to the school. SJM SOM already leads the way in preparing its Graduates to respond to the new challenges by drawing on the varied intellectual resources of IIT Bombay and providing an outstanding and innovative program in management education. 3 Continuing Education and Quality Improvement Programme (CE&QIP) : With the rapid pace of growth in technological knowledge and frequent paradigm shifts in technology, Continuing Education of working professionals in industry is a vital need. Continuing Education Programmes are being conducted all over the country and abroad. In addition to regular short term programmes, CE&QIP also conducts intensive courses on selected topics leading to a certificate on successful completion. DEVELOPING ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME Today, entrepreneurs, start-ups/incubators, family managed business leaders and entrepreneurial managers are confronting unforeseen competitive challenges. Our experience has been that sustainability of a business demands entrepreneurial leaders, who can lead themselves and lead others. Many entrepreneurs miss the journey of long term entrepreneurship because they are unaware about their inner strength and skills. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop entrepreneurial leaders enriched with entrepreneurial outlook, in-depth understanding of business environment, and knowledge of applying innovation to grow professionally. Proposed programme is an endeavour in this direction and has been exclusively designed to meet the emerging needs of entrepreneurs, start-ups and incubators. It will address a blend of topics along with softer aspects of entrepreneurial management. Rooted around behavioral mentoring, programme will provide an opportunity to get an orientation and exposure to the knowledge of different aspects of Entrepreneurial Leadership and Entrepreneurship. Programme Duration Duration: Programme is of 5 working days will be coordinated through Continuing Education and Quality Improvement Programme (CE & QIP) of IITB by Prof. S. Bhargava of the SJMSOM Dr. (Ms.) Sumita Datta, Leadership Consultant. Its 1 st programme will be during April 7-11, 2014 and depending upon response, it will be repeated. Who Will Benefit: Participants This programme will be useful to the experienced entrepreneur/start-up/incubator (engaged in any domain) and owner of family owned established business. Participant of the programme will get a unique opportunity of quality education through knowledge-sharing, churning and interaction based experiential learning. Eligibility A graduate (in any discipline) with rich experience as an entrepreneur is eligible. Pedagogy and Programme Faculty Sessions will have mix of Case Studies, Exercises, Experiential Learning Role Playing and Behavioural Mentoring, through Psychometric Tests and Experiential Learning. Faculty will be from the IITB and experts from the industry. It will be coordinated by Prof. S. Bhargava of IITB and Dr. (Ms. Sumita Datta, Leadership Consultant. 2

4 . Programme Fee Programme fee is INR (Sixty thousands) with additional 12.36% service tax that comes out as INR 7416 (Seven thousand four hundred and sixteen). Total fees for the programme will be INR (Sixty seven thousand four thousand and sixteen) only. There is no separate registration fee and it includes the course materials etc. Each participant is required to pay the total fee by a crossed demand draft of INR (Sixty seven thousand four thousand and sixteen) drawn in favour of THE REGISTRAR, IIT BOMBAY (CEP ACCOUNT) and payable at Mumbai. Award of Certificate Each participant will be awarded a certificate of participation by CE&QIP, IIT Bombay. Bhargava (Ph. D.) is Professor at the SJMSOM, IITB. His teaching, research, training and consulting areas are Organizational Behaviour, HRM and Entrepreneurship. Dr. (Ms) Sumita Datta is a XLRI Graduate and PhD. from IIT Bombay. She is an adjunct Faculty in the People & Performance area at S.P. Jain Institute for Management & Research, Mumbai and actively engaged in enriching the role of women in the Family Managed Business. She is strategic HR Consultant, working in the fields of organizational capability development, change management, career transitioning, and leadership development. 3

Venue will be the IIT Powai Bombay campus. On the completion of the programme, one will get a Certificate of Participation from the CE&QIP, IIT Bombay. The programme is non-residential.
