1 David Capps LLB, English Solicitor GROUP CHAIRMAN After obtaining a law degree from Birmingham University, David was articled to London maritime lawyers, Sinclair Roche & Temperley. He came to Jersey in 1974 and worked as an Assistant Solicitor to an English Tax Practice, and then with a Jersey law firm, attending to their international commercial and tax work. He also established David Capps & Co English Solicitors from which Capco Trust has grown into one of the largest truly independent service providers in Jersey. David s interests include garden landscaping particularly dry stone walling; walking; and the appreciation of art and a wide range of music. He is a Lay Reader at his local parish church; Chairman of the Mission to Seafarers Jersey Branch; a Governor of FCJ Primary School; and Chairman of Grace Trust Jersey, a charity that provides personal and practical help to Jersey s homeless and needy. Dial: davidcapps@capcotrust.com Roger Bougeard TEP EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN Roger was born in Jersey and educated at De La Salle College, Jersey. After a period of study in Liverpool he returned to the island and joined the Civil Service as a management trainee. In 1973 a change of direction saw him move to Hambros Channel Islands Trust Corporation Limited. He was appointed a Director in 1985 and Managing Director in 1998 of what had then become SG Hambros Trust Company (Jersey) Limited. A member of STEP he gained a wealth of experience in his previous roles and joined Capco in July 2000 as Group Managing Director. He is now working 2 days a week as Executive Chairman. Roger has an interest in football and squash and is a past President of the Jersey Squash and Racketball Club. 2 Graeme Mourant TEP MANAGING DIRECTOR Born and educated in Jersey, Graeme is a member of STEP and was appointed Managing Director of Capco in April He commenced his career over 30 years ago with NatWest Trust, subsequently part of Coutts. Moving from there, he had considerable success with ANZ Grindlays Trust Corp, rising to Deputy Managing Director and subsequently at Investec Trust where he was acting Managing Director during his final 12 months. In the early part of his career, his work was focused primarily on UK resident non domiciled family structures, but from 1999 he travelled extensively to the Middle East and worked with high net worth families, particularly from the UAE and Oman. Graeme is married with two boys and outside of work has played, coached and managed football at a high level in Jersey. Dial: graememourant@capcotrust.com Gary Bowman CAIFS TEP DIRECTOR Gary joined Capco Trust in July 2000 and was appointed to the board in He is responsible for many of the company s key client and intermediary relationships and is our first point of contact for new shipping enquiries. He started his career in banking with Williams & Glyn s Bank in 1977 and after eight years, decided to specialize in trust and company administration and took up a position at Hambros Trust, where he worked until his move to Capco Trust. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. 3 Christopher Rebindaine ACIB TEP HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Christopher was appointed to lead the business development and investment monitoring functions in Previously he had set up and run Wealth Management and Middle East units in Jersey for ANZ Grindlays Private Bank and Investec Trust respectively. During 2006 to 2008 he lived in the Sultanate of Oman running Investec Trust s representative office. He has travelled extensively during his career covering East Africa, parts of Europe as well as the Gulf area of the Middle East. He was born in Jersey and is an associate of the IFS and a member of STEP. Away from work the father of two still manages to play hockey and is coach of the Jersey boys U17 s hockey side. Dial: chrisrebindaine@capcotrust.com Ian Coombs-Goodfellow CLIENT SERVICES DIRECTOR Ian is a long standing member of the senior team at Capco Trust having joined in Initially as manager with responsibilities for client administration, he was appointed Client Services Director in Prior to that he had spent over 20 years with SG Hambros Trust and Standard Chartered Trust. Ian who is married with four children is a keen all round sportsman who has a record number of Island Badminton titles and was selected as the Jersey flag bearer when competing at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. 4 Lisa Hébert ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR Lisa was appointed Associate Director in September 2013, having joined Capco Trust in May Prior to that her career was with SG Hambros Trust for 18 years where she specialised in dealing with UK resident, non domiciled structures. Lisa was born and educated in Jersey, is married with three children and enjoys travelling, walking and cooking. Dial: Samantha Hugh ACIS ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR Samantha joined Capco as an Associate Director in September 2014 from JTC and Investec Trust with over 25 year s experience in the finance industry. Samantha has particular expertise in dealing with international family structures with varied asset classes such as yachts, aeroplanes, race horses and properties in various parts of the world. Away from her desk, Samantha enjoys competing with Mary Berry, spending time refining her culinary skills. Samantha also enjoys taking skiing holidays with her family and friends. 5 Peter Le Seelleur BA(Hons) FCA ACIM FINANCE DIRECTOR After graduating with a degree in Business Studies from Leeds Metropolitan University, a year working in France was followed by Articles with Price Waterhouse and qualification as a Chartered Accountant. Following twelve years working in the Trust and Company industry Peter was appointed as Finance Director of Dexia Private Bank Jersey Limited where he worked for ten years until joining Capco in 2010 in a similar role. Away from Capco Peter holds several honorary positions as either Treasurer or Auditor and is a Commissioner of the Jersey Overseas Aid Commission. He enjoys most sport and might occasionally be found on the golf course. Dial: peterleseelleur@capcotrust.com Robert Lupton MICA COMPLIANCE MANAGER Robert joined Capco in March 2014 as Compliance Manager and has Diplomas in Anti Money Laundering and Financial Crime. He was born in Kent and began his career in finance in 1988 at Barclays Bank PLC. He moved with Barclays to Jersey in 1994, following which he worked for Standard Bank and Appleby Global.
