2 1. Background: a) Company History The company was started in 1998 by Rodney & Murray Field to help farmers and rural business with consulting needs. Going on to be involved with a various number of projects and consulting contracts from olive production, hay enterprises, broad acre cropping and livestock consultancy. In 2000 they incorporated a registered training organisation scoped in Agriculture and Business for national recognised training activities in Western Australia. They are still fostering the link between the consulting and training arm. In 2011 the company offered a share to the original owner s nephew Robert Field who was seeking agricultural consulting work. Since that time the company has setup a partnership with a mortgage broker to supply financial products and services. Robert is a qualified and accredited mortgage broker and is combining the finance and consulting work through the company. The background of the owners: All owners of the business have practical farming experience with Rodney and Murray having a farming partnership for 35 years operating farms from the central wheat-belt to the south coast of WA in a medium size enterprise up 4,500 HA. As part of that association they both were involved in various agribusiness roles with Rodney sitting on boards and organisation right across Australia. Robert farmed with his parents on the south coast of WA for 13 years after which he attended university and obtained a Bachelor of Agribusiness Marketing with distinction. After university he managed a large overseas owned cropping and carbon farming conglomerate for 3 years. Since that time he has been consulting and fiancé broking. The varied business activities and skills of the partners mean the company is well positioned to look after a wide ranging customer base in the agriculture and service businesses in rural Australia. b) What we do The company provides consulting, training and finance broking for private and public companies, small and medium directed/owned businesses, non profit organisation, government departments and individuals. Business fiancé broking is a growing section of the market with very few brokers having the skill set which Robert and Murray Field have. The company is able to combine broking and consulting to provide various finance options for business customers. 2. Strategy & Vision: a) Vision Statement Our vision is to help build vibrant Rural & Urban communities. We aim to strengthen the capacity of individuals and communities to take advantage of change within Australian society.
