3 3 Overview Conway Group began in 1974 with the formation of PJ Conway (Contractors) Ltd, under the direction of Mr PJ Conway, the current CEO. Since then, Magherafelt based Conway Group has evolved into a multi-faceted organisation with expertise in construction, property, retail and healthcare. Construction has been and remains at the heart of the business. With a highly experienced and well qualified workforce, the Construction division has developed and expanded to become a major specialist construction company, providing a comprehensive building and civil engineering service, whether delivering a stand alone project or bringing added strength as part of an amalgamation of the various Conway Group divisions. 9 Housing Our name has been synonymous with both private and public housing for almost 4 decades PJ Conway (Contractors) Ltd has over thirty years experience in housing development both in the public and private sector. The Company has have been one of Northern Ireland s largest social and sheltered housing contractors having provided high quality housing for all the leading Housing Associations in the province including Fold, Oaklee, and Clanmill Housing Associations. Some of the largest design and build housing schemes ever carried out in the province have been provided by the Group including the Tonic, Bangor and Sally Gardens, Glengormley. A 150 unit housing scheme was also designed and constructed by the company for their site in Galliagh, Londonderry for Fold Housing Association at a cost of 8m.
