2 User Friendly The introduction of Design factors in the development of Multimedia Applications and Information Systems is a conscious effort to improve the appeal and therefore the efficiency of the user interface. The balance of colors and shapes greatly influences and interacts with people's senses, emotions and intellect, and so its correct usage will determine the success of the utilization of the systems. A good design will allow a good utilization and will win the user's acceptance, thus closing a circle of satisfaction that encompasses both the user and the service provider. As seen below an intervention at the Design level enables the improvement of the looks of an interface and therefore turns it more attractive for the user. This way the user will feel that he is working in a more friendly and easy to use environment. This assures that while handling with the interface his performance is optimized and consequently his motivation and commitment improved. April 19th,
