2 Configurations INTRODUCING BizNAS TO VEEAM BACKUP & REPLICATION To use BizNAS as a Backup Repository, it must be introduced to Veeam Backup & Replication as a Unix Server. Type in the IP-Address of BizNAS, change the default description if required. Add the credentials for SSH connection to the BizNAS. p.2

3 BACKUP REPOSITORY FOR BizNAS Create a Backup Repository for BizNAS starting with the Name. Choose Linux Server for Type as BizNAS OS is based on Debian Linux. Choose the BizNAS as a repository server (here IP Address ). p.3

4 Choose path of the repository (BizNAS) where backup should be stored. Check your settings. Apply your settings. p.4

5 BACKUP JOB SETTINGS Create a new backup job backing up to BizNAS -- starting with the name. Choose the virtual machine(s) to backup. Choose the backup repository (BizNAS) created earlier. p.5

6 Check the Summary. BACKUP REPOSITORY FOR RDX Create a Backup Repository for RDX starting with the Name. Choose Linux Server for Type as RDX is direct-connected to BizNAS. p.6

7 Choose the BizNAS as a repository server (here IP Address ) as RDX is directly connected to BizNAS. Choose path of the repository (RDX) where backup should be stored. Check your settings. p.7

8 Apply your settings. BACKUP COPY JOB TO RDX Create a new backup copy job backing up to RDX starting with the job name. Choose the backup job (backup to BizNAS) to copy. p.8

9 Choose the target for the backup copy (RDX). Choose the transfer mode. As RDX is directly connected to BizNAS, choose Direct. Check your settings. p.9

10 SUMMARY OVERVIEW Two backup repositories were created with BizNAS as a primary backup-target and RDX Drive connected to BizNAS as a secondary backup target. Backup Job vcenter Backup to BizNAS performs the primary backup to BizNAS. The Backup Copy Job Copy Backup to RDX performs the secondary backup to RDX. RDX is directly connected to BizNAS via USB 3.0. In the backup job definition of the primary backup job, a secondary task can be integrated. So, the backup copy job is automatically started.
