Makes backups faster as duplicate data is eliminated. Since data is deduplicated at the source, WAN/LAN bandwidth can also be dramatically reduced. In addition, as there is less data to back up, back-end storage usage can be reduced. Allows for the deduplication of streaming data on the media server. Hardware costs can be decreased because existing backup infrastructure can be leveraged, and back-end storage usage can be reduced because only unique data is protected. Also, new alternative backup methods preserve the physical layout of the Oracle blocks, enabling much higher deduplication rates across the source, the target or deduplicated off-host backups. The MySQL Agent provides centralized backup and recovery of multiple MySQL databases/servers across Linux, Solaris and Windows operating systems. Improved Enterprise Vault agent reduces configuration time and automatically detects servers and applications that need protecting. The agent will discover the Enterprise Vault topology and identify the components (index and vault store partition locations as well as SQL databases) that need to be backed up. Includes for Enterprise Vault 9. Microsoft Exchange 2010 Support for Exchange 2010 in a stand-alone and a Database Availability Group (DAG) configuration. So can automatically detect the Microsoft DAG and configure and execute backups and recovery with minimal impact on the active host.
