Rahimi Professor, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Curriculum Vitae Vice President of Information Technology and Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Northwestern University, Responsible for: campus- wide planning, coordination, and deployment of information technology; operations of all central information technology services and systems; promotion of cost effective administrative systems; promotion of academic use of technology in support of teaching and research; and, establishment of Northwestern internationally as a technology savvy university. Reports to the President as Chief Information Officer. Vice President for Information Technology and Professor of Computer Science Wayne State University, Reports to the President of the University. Responsible for one of the University s five operating divisions. Responsible for the administration of information systems to support curriculum, research and administration of the University. Responsible for many of the University's economic development activities. Serves the President in an executive staff capacity on various University and Statewide issues. Responsible for Planning and Support Services, Marketing and Development, University Computing Center, Management Information Systems, Telecommunications, Television, Information Technology Institute, and federally funded Michigan Small Business Development Center. Information Systems Director and Professor of Computer Science Wayne State University, Responsible for the University's computing, voice and data communication and information systems infrastructure, and for the development of a plan to incorporate information technology into curriculum, research and administration of the University. Department Chair and Professor of Computer Science Wayne State University, The Department offers BA, BS, MA, MS and Ph.D. degrees. It has extensive research and off- campus activities. During my tenure, the Department had 18 full- time faculty members, 10 part- time faculty, and 30 graduate assistants, 2 administrative assistants and a clerical staff of 6. Approximately 450 undergraduate, 100 graduate majors and 2000 other students were serviced by the Department each semester. Professor of Computer Science Michigan State University,
