1 Skip to main content What is the plug-in matrix? Moodlerooms Plug-in Matrix is an analytic tool that identifies and describes and plug-ins available to you. We've arranged the plug-ins into the following developer groups. Moodle Core plug-ins: Plug-ins that are maintained by Moodle HQ as part of the Moodle core code. Moodlerooms plug-ins: Plug-ins that are maintained by Moodlerooms product or client development. s: Plug-ins that are maintained by Moodle community members individually or as part of an organization. Vendor plug-ins: Plug-ins that are maintained by Vendors to support clients who want their product to work with Moodle. You may have legacy features or customizations that may or may not be listed in this matrix. Please note these will not be removed from your current site, but legacy features are not available in new sites. plug-ins Not sure what the support level means? Moodlerooms plug-ins Advanced Forums The advanced forum has a more simplified view of forums. This saves users time in viewing and responding to posts. It also makes it easier to find the posts that are most relevant to the class. Visible, d Teachers can create anonymous interactions with students while still being able to grade. Teachers can also use advanced grading methods, such as adding rubrics. CampusVue Integration with the CampusVue student information system. Transfer users, courses, and enrollments. Collaborate with the Ultra experience Blackboard Collaborate is a real-time video conferencing tool that lets you add files, share applications, and use a virtual whiteboard to interact. 9 Moodlerooms plug-ins Collect Gather data within a course based on the collectors and data points the site administrator has set to be collected. Visible, d Profile Redirect Send specific learners to a specified course after logging in, skipping the front page. Screen Steps Filter Display Screen Steps within any HTML area in Moodle. Hidden, disabled Snap Snap is a theme for Moodle designed to increase learning engagement and make Moodle easier to use. Visible, d Streams and Alerts The Activity stream is a live stream of course activity and an easy way to keep track of important course activities. Alerts are triggered by various course events, but are most likely important enough that you want to know about them without having to navigate to the My home/my Moodle page to view the stream. Adaptive tests are comprised of questions selected from the question bank that are tagged with a score for the difficulty. support ticket to Attendance Teachers can keep track of who is attending their course. Students can view their attendance records with this block while teachers take attendance, report on attendance, or change attendance settings. support ticket to BTEC Advanced grading An advanced grading method where a teacher enters a comment per predefined criteria and indicates if the student has met the criteria or not. There is no concept of percentages, numbers or letters. Criteria are either met or not met. This method of marking is widely used in the UK. support ticket to Certificate Create PDF certificates/diplomas for students upon completion of a course or specified activity, with the ability to use both custom and default pictures in the certificates. support ticket to Choice Group Allow students to enroll themselves into a group within a course. The teacher can select which groups students can choose from and the maximum number of students allowed in each group. Maintenance Agreement to Collapsed topics Course format The format is similar to the standard Topics course format except that all topics (except '0') can be 'toggled' on and off. 13 s Drag-and-Drop Matching Question type that requires users to drag labels to a match. support ticket to Grade Me Block This plug-in shows a teacher all of the assignments and manual quiz questions (essays and file responses) that have been submitted, but not graded. The block is configured to work with groups that is, teachers will only see the assignments submitted by students if they are both members of the same group. Not recommended for use with the Snap theme. Maintenance Agreement to Google OAuth2 This plug-in adds the "Sign-in with Google / Facebook / Github / Linkedin / Windows Live / VK / Battle.net " buttons on the login page. The first time a user logs in, a new Moodle account is created. Maintenance Agreement to Hotpot This plug-in allows teachers to administer Hot Potatoes and TexToys quizzes via Moodle. These quizzes are created on the teacher's computer and then uploaded to the Moodle course. After students have attempted the quizzes, a number of reports are available which show how individual questions were answered and some statistical trends in the scores. support ticket to Journal This plug-in allows a teacher to ask students to reflect on a particular topic. It can be use to provide access to full courses or activities from remote systems (other Moodle installations, Sakai, any LMS LTI consumer compliant). The respondent is given a note and is prompted to enter a second note at a given interval. Answers are entered in a graphical user interface. Campus Pack Connector This is a series of integrations with the Learning Objects product, allowing instructors to create Campus Pack blogs, podcasts, private journals and wikis. CAMs to Moodle The CAMs to Moodle plug-in adds web services that allow for data exchange with the Three Rivers CAMs product. Echo360 This plug-in has been replaced by an LTI-based integration. All requests for configuration should be sent to Echo 360. Plug-in replaced by Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) integration EQUELLA A digital repository that allows instructors to search for learning objects available to them with rating, tagging and federate search functionalities. They can also classify and search for learning objects by standards, ensuring alignment to outcomes and assessments. EvaluationKIT EvaluationKIT seamlessly integrates Moodle with an external instructor and course evaluation tool. explorance BPI Blue is a robust, centralized feedback collection tool that provides course evaluations, surveys, 360 reviews, and much more. Blue blocks provide access to flexible tailored reports, dynamic dashboards, forms, task lists, and management interfaces that improve the stickiness of the Moodle LMS. Macmillan The Macmillan SSO plug-in implements the Basic Learning Tools Interoperability (BLTI) framework as a means to integrate remote tools and content with the Moodle LMS. The plug-in applies updates to Moodle Gradebook and posts BFW portal s Gradebook ID to Moodle s grade object metadata/attribute. The plug-in will only add or update grades in Moodle for those grade objects that it has created. Formerly Tegrity MediaCore This plug-in gives you access to your MediaCore account from within Moodle. Using MediaCore (a cloud-based video education platform) you can browse, search, and add your videos directly to Moodle pages and courses. You can also upload videos directly to your Moodle course without needing to leave Moodle. The plug-in also works with MediaCore s ios Capture App, which means you, can bring mobile video capture into the Moodle learning experience. Moodletxt ConnectTxt integration with Moodle that allows teachers and administrators to send SMS/text messages to their students directly from Moodle. The plug-in supports both inbound and outbound messaging, text message status updates, user-personalized messages, message templates and signatures, personal address books, is full compatibility with user time zones, and can support event-based SMS/text messaging with the moodletxt+ message processor. oembed Filter Part of the Office 365 plug-ins developed by Microsoft, which can be used by any client.
