1 This software works best in Google Chrome. Follow the link to open the online Laboratory and Shop self-inspection tool login page. 1
2 Log in to LabcliQ using your address and password. If you do not have a LabcliQ account, contact Sean Collins at spcollins@scu.edu. 2
3 Inspections: Under Inspections: Click on New Inspection. A new screen will open, Inspection Location. Facility: Select your Building from the drop down menu. Room: Select your Room from the drop down menu. Upon selecting your Facility and Room click on the Confirm Selection button. For Laboratory Inspections, follow the directions below. 3
4 Inspections Settings: Inspection Type Select SCU Laboratory, if it is not already selected, from the drop down menu. SCU Laboratory must be selected to load up the correct inspection form. If you are inspecting a Shop area, select the SCU Shop inspection type. Ensure you have selected the Inspection Type before moving forward with the next step. To assign someone to the Roster that is not currently listed, enter their name in the Add User to Roster search box. If the person is already a LabcliQ user, their name will appear in a drop down list, click on their name to select them then click on the green + sign to add them to the Roster. If their name does not appear, type in the person s address then click on the green + sign next to the Add User to Roster search box to add them. 4
5 After adding a person to the Roster, either: LabcliQ User Guide Set Actions For the person by clicking on the radio button under the desired group, or Click on the Receive ? check box, and they will receive copies of s sent to people who are assigned Corrective Actions. Assigning the Actions For determines who will receive the Corrective Actions (if any) arising from the inspection. How to complete or reassign Corrective Actions are explained at the end of this manual. Set Actions For each group. For those labs where one person is the Lab Owner and the Lab Manager, select both radio buttons for the one person. After setting Actions For, click on Start Inspection. There are four (4) Categories of questions for the SCU laboratory inspection: 1. Compressed Gas 2. General Safety 3. Hazardous Materials and Waste 4. Training A separate inspection checklist is used for SCU Shop inspections. It has nine (9) Categories of questions. All other aspects of the SCU Shop inspection form mirror the SCU Laboratory inspection form. 5
6 Each category has a series of questions to be answered. Possible answers are: Yes No N/A (Not Applicable) Corrected During Inspection (This is an option for those situations/questions that can be corrected while performing the inspection. An example of this would be putting the valve cap on a gas cylinder that is not in use whose valve cap had been removed.) Select the appropriate answer. An inspection finding for non-compliance will be flagged by the + sign appearing on the question. Always add a note to the inspection finding to provide details of the non-compliance. If you have multiple findings for the same question, click on the + sign for each additional finding prior to populating the notes field for any of the findings. After completing all of the questions for that category, at the bottom of each category is a Save Category button. Click on the Save Category button. If you do not click on Save Category before moving on to the next Category of questions, you will lose your data from that Category. 6
7 If you need to stop the inspection prior to completing it, use Save Category to save your data. When you are ready to continue the inspection, log back in to LabcliQ. From the opening screen, return to the inspection by clicking on Continue an Inspection on the Inspections menu. You will then see your Open Inspections. Click on the green arrow to return to your inspection. 7
8 Do Not Use the Quick Save feature. It will cause you to lose your data. After completing and saving all four categories, click on the Complete Inspection button. A pop up box will appear click on Complete. DO NOT CLICK on Complete unless you have finished the inspection. Changes are not allowed after completing the inspection. 8
9 To view a completed inspection report, click on Summary Reports from the main menu. 9
10 Select your Department, Building and Room. Click on the green plus sign to access your inspection area. Your inspection date will appear. In the future, there will be multiple inspections per room as LabcliQ will maintain a record of all of your inspections. Click on the paper/magnifying glass to open your report. 10
11 Below is an example Simple Report for a completed inspection. The report shows: Room/Facility inspected Specifics of the inspection The Roster Each person s Role Corrective Actions (if any) Person assigned to each Corrective Action A Simple Report shows only those questions with findings. This would be the report of choice for most situations. A Full Report, obtained by clicking on View Full, contains all of the questions from the complete inspection, including those without findings. The report can be exported to PDF by clicking on the Export button. 11
12 Corrective Actions: In the Inspection Findings box click on the Corrective Actions button. 12
13 The Corrective Actions screen will appear. Click on the Show All button then click Update. LabcliQ User Guide Select your Facility by clicking on the adjacent plus sign. From this screen, two actions are possible: Reassigning Corrective Actions Certifying Corrective Actions are completed. 13
14 Reassigning Corrective Actions The Inspector may wish to Reassign a Corrective Action to another user who is better equipped to address the inspection finding. Certain questions automatically assign the Corrective Action to either EHS or Facilities. This is determined during the assigning Actions For step earlier in the inspection process. To Reassign a Corrective Action: Select your Room by clicking on the person icon. 14
15 The Corrective Action Reassignment screen will appear. 15
16 Check the box next to the Open Corrective Action that you want to reassign. Enter the name ( address will populate) of the person to receive the reassigned Corrective Action. Click on the Reassign button. The Corrective Action Reassignment screen will collapse back to its start position. 16

18 Certifying Corrective Actions LabcliQ User Guide After the completion of an inspection, all users who had Corrective Actions assigned to them will receive an auto that provides details about where the inspection occurred, the date of the inspection, and identifies a Corrective Action has been assigned to them. Included in the is a hyperlink that will take the user to the Corrective Action Certification page. The Inspector can Certify a Corrective Action is completed by: Select your Room by clicking on the green check mark. 18
19 Below is the page that clicking on the green checkmark or following the auto hyperlink takes a user to. Check the box next to the Corrective Action that you want to certify as complete. 19
20 The user shall always provide Comments to describe the action taken to correct the inspection finding. Click on the Certify Corrective Actions button to complete the inspection finding. The Certify Corrective Actions screen will collapse back to its start position. 20
