1 Using the Artsmark application form The dashboard The dashboard is where you will be taken when you log in to the application portal. Organisation details Your user details Your Artsmark applications table Artsmark network You can view and update your organisation details and your own user details Before you begin your application, you will see a large pink button with Start your Artsmark application Once you have a form in progress, you will see it saved in the Artsmark application table. There are buttons for you to edit or delete a form in progress, and to view or withdraw a form you have submitted Your form will remain stored in this table (unless you choose to delete it). This means multiple forms may be stored here if you apply for Artsmark again in the future There are links on to areas with more information about applying for Artsmark, a page for managing your associate users, and your payment history
2 Navigation of the application form This is what the application form looks like. Selection of type of application you want to make Tabs Sub-tabs Saving and submission buttons You can switch between the Artsmark and the Artsmark Gold forms by selecting the radio buttons at the top. You can change between these as many times as you like. Extra questions will appear when you select Artsmark Gold Everything you need to fill in is within the seven tabs at the top of the form Organisation details should be mostly pre-filled in by the information you entered when registering for the Artsmark network. You will need to add in how many students you have on roll (schools and FE only) and whether you deliver Arts Award here All of the Part 1 data can be filled in under Arts provision The other five tabs contain all of the Part 2 questions. You can click on the subtabs within each of these to display each question Each Part 2 question may contain multiple parts or multiple boxes to fill in. The question displayed above, 2.4 Engaging with cultures, requires two examples, so there are two separate boxes to write in Using the pink buttons at the bottom of the form, you can choose to save your progress, save your progress and exit the form, or submit your application. If you choose Submit application while the form is still incomplete, the form will not be submitted. A notification will appear telling you which areas still need to be filled in. We recommend saving regularly to ensure you do not lose any work
3 Part 1 navigation Benchmark summary All of Part 1 is under the tab Arts provision There are four sub-tabs: Time devoted to arts, Qualifications, Extracurricular/Arts enrichment, and Artists & Arts organisations Primary schools do not need to complete the Qualifications tab, FE colleges do not need to complete the Time devoted to arts tab, and youth justice settings do not need to complete the Extra-curricular tab After you have saved the form at least once, a benchmark summary will appear to the right of the form. This displays the data you have entered compared to the minimum required, as well as a tick or an exclamation mark to show you whether or not you are meeting criteria for a particular area. The sections of the benchmark summary can be expanded or contracted by clicking on the section titles
4 Artists and arts organisations When you have saved the form at least once, you will be able to add artists and arts organisations to your Part 1 data. Go to the 1.4 sub-tab and click the Add button shown below. The form will then refresh to display new buttons. To input your first artist or arts organisation, choose Start new details : You can then input the details of the artist or arts organisation in a form like this: Once you press save, you will be taken back to the Your Artists & Arts organisations table, on which these details will appear. You can press change details next to each line to amend the details you entered, or press the Add button again to input another artist or arts organisation.
5 Contextual guidance If you need some extra help with a question, contextual guidance is provided as you navigate through the form. Help guidance Cursor in answer box Click into the answer box of the question you are filling in. The Help guidance floating box will appear to the right of the form. You can remove the Help guidance by clicking the X in the corner, if you do not want it.
