1 Lightning Payroll Program Update and Backup As you are aware, there have been several changes to the WagezWindow Payroll Program (now called Lightning Payroll). You will need to read and follow the instructions Intellitron Pty Ltd have provided you, to ensure you are running the latest programs. We cannot stress strongly enough how important it is to backup your Payroll Data weekly. If something goes wrong, and you do not have a current viable backup, there is nothing Intellitron Pty Ltd can do to help you recover the data. We recommend the following steps be completed. Auto-Quote cannot take responsibility for your data or how you choose to backup your data. STEP 1: BACKUP You can follow the procedures below to back up the payroll data to your current Backup folder and Memory Stick each week. If you choose to backup to the memory stick only, this is entirely your choice. Backup to Hard Drive: 1. Find the location of the root drive that Auto-Quote works from Close ALL applications and exit all workstations to the Windows desktop On the computer you want to backup on, double click on the Auto-Quote Windows Icon. When the Icons screen displays, record on the line below, the information displayed to the right of the Program Path: which is located in the bottom left hand corner of that screen Eg. C:\AQWIN\ or F:\AQWIN\ or C:\AQ\AQWIN\ or Q:\AQWIN\ :\ Note: The letter (eg. C or F or Q) is the Drive and the word (eg. AQWIN) is the directory. Once you have noted the drive and directory, click on the Exit Icon then close MoneyWorks using File>Exit. The desktop will be displayed. ABN Auto-Quote 1984

3 5. ***VERY IMPORTANT*** Select the location with the Drive that you have noted back in Step 1, eg. C:\ or F:\ or Q:\ Then select the Wagez Backup folder 6. Click on Save 7. Click on OK ABN Auto-Quote 1984

4 Backup to Memory Stick: 1. Insert the Memory Stick into the USB drive on your computer The AutoPlay window should automatically pop up in your desktop, this will have allocated a Drive Letter to your memory stick, take note of the Drive Letter 2. Double click on the Lightning Payroll icon on your desktop ABN Auto-Quote 1984

5 3. Click on Tools > Create backup 4. Click on to change the location of where the file is saved 5. ***VERY IMPORTANT*** Select the location with the USB Drive Letter that you have noted back in Step 1 on Page 4 ABN Auto-Quote 1984

7 STEP 2: LIGHTNING PAYROLL PROGRAM UPDATE Intellitron Pty Ltd has made alterations and improvements to the original install and we recommend you check and update regularly perhaps weekly prior to making pays. To Update the Program: 1. Double click on the Lightning Payroll icon on your desktop and click on the Homepage link 2. Click on Download Now 3. Follow the onscreen prompts to update ABN Auto-Quote 1984
