Next door, gaze into the windows of the Woodwright s Shop and see the tradition of woodworking taught and preserved by Roy Underhill. Browse in unique shops like Circle City Books, Beggars and Choosers or French Connections for antiques or The Joyful Jewel for hand-crafted jewelry. Most evenings you will only need a light jacket as you stroll down the street to relax and have food, drinks and music at either the Pittsboro Roadhouse or City Tap. Additional enhancements for consideration include more accessible and frequent public transit connecting Pittsboro with surrounding towns of Siler City, Chapel Hill and Carrboro and a downtown civic center to showcase the town s community events and performing arts. The community college, library and its campus (all located in Pittsboro) will also continue to expand and offer more programming to retirees.
