1 MS Technology Management Program Information Point of Contact Tracy Christofero Support for University and College Missions Marshall University is a multi-campus public university providing innovative undergraduate and graduate education that contributes to the development of society and the individual. College Mission CITE will be a recognized leader in practice-oriented teaching and applied research. CITE is committed to serve the lifelong educational needs of students, new graduates, working professionals, and employees. CITE builds on combined traditions of student-focused education, entrepreneurship, and funded research and service emphasis. CITE provides education when and where needed, incorporating technology-enhanced methods, by full-time, dedicated faculty complemented by expert adjunct faculty from industry and government. Program Mission Marshall University s Technology Management Program will provide a geographically boundaryless education through faculty and a curriculum that encompass the innovative nature of the field. Individual and team-based quality learning experiences and hands-on, real-

3 Learning Outcomes Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively through written reports and public speaking assignments Assessment Point 1 Embedded Assessment Expected Benchmark Level TM610; TM612; TM615; TM620; TM630; EM660 each require at least one presentation to the class and at least one written report. These are evaluated per Presentation and Written Report Rubrics. Students must achieve a Satisfactory or above on the Presentation rubrics and Written Report rubrics rating to pass this requirement. Capstone Assessment Point 2 Embedded Assessment Expected Benchmark Level TM699. This is evaluated by the Capstone Committee. Capstone Defense presentation and written report evaluated by the graduate faculty Capstone committee. Students must achieve a proficient or above Advanced
4 Ability to work successfully in a project team Assessment Point 1 Embedded Assessment Expected Benchmark Level TM610 and TM612. These are assessed via team member evaluation forms. Team assignments. Team member evaluation forms completed by each team member about each team member. Students must achieve an average of 70% or higher on the team evaluation form to pass these assignments Capstone Assessment Point 2 Embedded Assessment Expected Benchmark Level TM620; TM630 are evaluated via team member evaluation forms. TM699, if applicable based on the Capstone Project topic, is evaluated by the Capstone Committee. Team member evaluation forms completed by each team member about each team member. For TM620 and TM630, Students must achieve an average of 70% or higher on the team evaluation form to pass these assignments. For TM699, students must achieve a proficient or above rating as determined by the Capstone Committee to pass the course. Advanced
