3 Alcohol Rehabilitation Service is a residential alcohol rehabilitation service within City Centre, with 10 places providing a safe, supportive, structured environment where individuals will be supported during their recovery to explore the underlying reasons for their dependency and encouraged to realise their potential to rebuild their lives.
4 Alcohol Rehabilitation Service is a residential alcohol rehabilitation service within City Centre, with 10 places providing a safe, supportive, structured environment where individuals will be supported during their recovery to explore the underlying reasons for their dependency and encouraged to realise their potential to rebuild their lives.
5 Who is the service for? The service will offer direct support to men and women aged 18 years or over who are homeless and have a history of alcohol dependence but wish to recover and change their lifestyle by taking part in a programme based on abstinence from all alcohol and drugs. Individuals will have complex physical, mental health and addiction issues with medium to high care needs. Key features of the service include: Individualised key working and support planning Physical and social care Regular and structured group work Gender specific work Family and parenting support Confidence building and redeveloping life skills Leisure and sports activities Support with education and training Social skills and vocational skills training In house counselling Access to AA and NA Resettlement Tenancy sustainment Accessing housing Links with external and ongoing recovery support
6 Duration The service will operate to a target length stay of 9 months; however, completion of the programme will be gauged on the individual s progress. The programme will be divided into different phases and individuals can access or complete the programme dependant on their personal recovery plan. The length of time you spend in each phase will depend on individual needs. Residential unit The recovery focused rehabilitation programme is tailored to the needs of individuals within a phased framework, these are: Induction/Phase 1 Phase 2 Phase 3 Resettlement The residential unit has space for 12 residents who are experiencing crisis in their lives resulting from substance misuse issues. The length of stay is dependent on each individual s needs but is usually two to three weeks. People can self-refer and access to assessment is through our One Stop service.
