A Few Words About Risk Stocks have historically outperformed other asset classes over the long-term, but tend to fluctuate more dramatically over the short-term. Bonds are sensitive to interest rate movements. Their prices, and thus the share prices of funds that invest in them, generally move in the opposite direction from interest rates. Investing in foreign issuers and non-dollar securities may involve additional risks due to various legal, political, economic and currency-related factors. Some Funds are subject to the risks associated with its investments in emerging market securities, which tend to be more volatile and less liquid than securities traded in developed countries. 4 The Growth of Money Over Time? Most people invest to help achieve a variety of personal goals. Whether you d like to buy a home, send your children to college or someday retire comfortably, growing your assets over time can be an important goal for any investment portfolio. To meet their growth objective, people have typically invested in the stocks of public corporations. This is also referred to as investing in equities. When you buy a stock, you have an actual ownership interest, or equity, in the company. As the company grows its sales and profits, the price of its stock is expected to grow as well. Historically, stocks have outperformed other types of securities, such as bonds and money market instruments, helping investors build their wealth over time. However, stocks may also experience what s referred to as volatility the risk of ups and downs in their values due to economic conditions or other factors that can affect the market as a whole, a particular industry or the individual company issuing the stock. Because their prices may fluctuate more than other types of investments, stocks are best suited for investors with a longer time horizon. Just as there are many different kinds of companies, there are also many different kinds of stocks, referred to as market segments, all with their own characteristics. The stocks of larger, more stable companies may be slow-andsteady growers, often paying income in the form of quarterly dividends. Small companies stocks can provide faster growth, but sometimes with a few bumps in the road. Value vs. Growth Stocks Value Stocks Sell at a price that is judged to be less than their underlying worth due to temporary events or market conditions; sometimes referred to as out of favor Generally represent stable and mature companies with average prospects for growth Many pay regular dividends Growth Stocks Considered to be more aggressive than value stocks May appreciate further in price, due to favorable market conditions, or new products or services; may also tend to be more volatile Many do not pay dividends 4 HuntingtonFunds.com

Key Characteristics of Different Segments of the Stock Market Large-Cap Stocks Issued by large, established companies, with proven track records and typically with a market capitalization of more than $10 billion Represented by the popular U.S. benchmark known as the Standard & Poor s 500 Index 1 Generally pays regular dividends Mid-Cap Stocks Issued by mid-sized companies, typically with a market capitalization between $1 billion and $10 billion Have the potential for greater growth than more conservative, large-company stocks Potentially less volatile than more aggressive, small-company stocks Small-Cap Stocks Issued by small companies with a market capitalization of less than $1 billion Have the potential for higher returns over time in exchange for a higher level of risk and volatility as compared to stocks issued by large, well-established companies International Stocks Issued by companies located outside of the U.S. and may provide additional diversification as well as solid return potential Can provide opportunities to participate in world marketplace growth Potential additional volatility due to political and currency risks May be a good choice for long-term goals like retirement especially when retirement is many years away Level of Risk HIGHER RISK AND HIGHER POTENTIAL RETURNS LARGE-CAP STOCKS $10 Billion + MID-CAP STOCKS $1 - $10 Billion SMALL-CAP STOCKS <$1 Billion Risks associated with stocks typically increase the smaller the market capitalization Mid-cap investing involves greater risk not associated with investing in more established companies, such as greater price volatility, business risk, less liquidity and increased competitive threat. Small-Cap investing involves greater risk not associated with investing in more established companies, such as greater price volatility, business risk, less liquidity and increased competitive threat. Investments in international markets present special risks including currency fluctuation, the potential for diplomatic and political instability, regulatory and liquidity risks, foreign taxation and differences in auditing and other financial standards. Risks of foreign investing are generally intensified for investments in emerging markets. HuntingtonFunds.com 5

Need income to retire, meet current expenses or simply reinvest? Income needs come in all shapes and sizes. Some investors look for regular, monthly cash to meet current living expenses. Others would like a little extra periodically to supplement other income sources. Still others prefer to reinvest their income and purchase more shares of their mutual fund to potentially provide income down the road. Traditional Bond Funds for Income Potential Many investors looking for income have traditionally turned to bonds. Bonds, also known as debt securities, are issued by companies, municipalities or government agencies when those entities want to borrow money from investors. In a way, a bond is like a loan. Investors buy bonds based on the issuer s promise to repay the amount loaned (the principal) on a specific date in the future (the maturity date). The bond issuer agrees to pay income (make periodic interest payments) over the life of the loan. These payments may make bonds a good choice for investors who want a regular income stream. The value of a bond, also called its price, can and does fluctuate on the open market based on changing interest rates in the general economy and how far in the future the bond s maturity date might be. Bonds with shorter maturities are generally considered to be more conservative since they typically fluctuate less in value than bonds with longer maturities. The price is also affected by the issuer s credit rating, which reflects its perceived ability to make timely interest payments and repay the principal. U.S. government bonds are considered to be among the safest types of bonds because the timely payment of principal and interest is guaranteed by the U.S. government or the agency that issued them. 5 When you invest in a bond mutual fund, you own shares of a pool, or portfolio, of bonds. While bond fund total returns (which include both income and capital appreciation) haven t matched those of stock funds over the long-term, bond funds are generally considered less risky investments. For this reason, many investors use bond funds to help balance their growth portfolios and may begin to gradually shift their assets more toward these conservative funds as retirement nears. 8 HuntingtonFunds.com

Huntington Funds Traditional Bond Funds Looking for opportunities to add to your income or balance the higher risks associated with stocks? A traditional bond fund may be a great choice! 10 Strategic Income Funds to Diversify Your Income Investing The world of income possibilities doesn t stop at bonds. Alternatives go beyond bonds into asset classes and securities considered non-traditional. Innovative income strategies provide the potential for multiple income streams for innovative sources. For additional income in your portfolio, you may want to consider adding exchange-traded funds (ETFs), dividend-paying common and preferred stocks, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs) to your portfolio. These securities are issued in the U.S. and across the globe. Bond exchange-traded funds (Bond ETFs) are securities that track a bond index like an index fund but trade on an exchange like a stock. They offer investors access to various types and maturities of bonds at low cost. Preferred stocks represent a higher class of ownership in a company than common stocks; that means they have a higher claim on the assets and earnings of the company in the event it runs into trouble. The dividends of preferred stocks are generally fixed and often higher than the dividends of common stocks, but these stocks may have less potential for overall growth over time. Would you like to increase your diversification opportunities as well as your investment income potential? Consider a strategic income fund. Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) are securities that trade on an exchange like a stock. Instead of representing ownership in a public company, REITs invest in real estate, either directly or through mortgages. REITs typically offer relatively high yields and receive special tax considerations. Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs) are a type of publicly traded limited partnership that invests in real estate, natural resources or commodities. The investor, or limited partner, provides capital to the business and receives periodic income distributions from the MLP s cash flow. Investments in real estate investment trusts ( REITs ) and real-estate related securities involve special risks associated with an investment in real estate, such as limited liquidity and interest rate risks and may be more volatile than other securities. In addition, the value of REITs and other real estate-related investments is sensitive to changes in real estate values, extended vacancies of properties and other environmental and economic factors. Funds that invest in MLPs may have additional expenses, as some MLPs pay incentive distribution fees to their general partners. 10 HuntingtonFunds.com

Do You Want a Simple Way to Own a Broadly Diversified Portfolio? Diversifying your portfolio may be the most important strategy you can use to help make the most of your investment. Putting all your eggs or dollars in one basket may expose your money to a high degree of risk. By allocating portions of your assets among a variety of growth, income and specialty investments, you have the potential to capture the performance of each, while managing the overall risk for your portfolio over time. Historically, different sectors of the market have performed well at various times. While the international sector increases in value, domestic securities may be growing less rapidly or even decreasing. Similarly, when stocks are declining, bonds may be on the rise. Huntington Asset Advisors strategists have developed a tactical asset allocation strategy to capitalize on potential opportunities in the market. Using this strategy, the Huntington Asset Allocation Funds were developed to offer an efficient mix of risk and return designed to meet investors particular objectives. For each Fund, our strategists look first to the appropriate balance of growth and income. Then, based on the tactical asset allocation strategy, specific Huntington Funds are selected to create a portfolio designed to reflect the appropriate risk/reward profile for the given Huntington Asset Allocation Fund. The resulting portfolios have what we believe to be the potential to deliver robust long-term performance over a wide range of market conditions. Diversification does not ensure a profit or guarantee against loss. HuntingtonFunds.com 15

1 The S&P 500 Index is an unmanaged, capitalization-weighted index of 500 stocks designed to measure performance of the broad domestic economy through changes in the aggregate market value of 500 stocks representing all major industries. Investments cannot be made in an index. 2 International investing involves special risks including currency risk, increased volatility of foreign securities, political risks and differences in auditing and other financial standards. In addition, prices of emerging markets securities can be significantly more volatile than the prices of securities in developed countries and currency risk and political risks are accentuated in emerging markets. 3 Mid-cap investing involves greater risks not associated with investing in more established companies, such as greater price volatility, business risk, less liquidity and increased competitive threat. 4 Small company stocks may be less liquid and subject to greater price volatility than large capitalization stocks. Companies with smaller market capitalizations also tend to have unproven track records, a limited product or service base and limited access to capital. These factors also increase risks and make these companies more likely to fail than companies with larger market capitalizations. 5 Mutual Funds shares are not guaranteed, not bank products, not FDIC insured. 6 The value of some mortgage-backed securities may be particularly sensitive to changes in prevailing interest rates, and although the securities are generally supported by some form of government or private insurance, there is no assurance that private guarantors or insurers will meet their obligations. 7 Investment in real estate investment trusts ( REITs ) involves special risks associated with an investment in real estate such as limited liquidity and interest rate risks. Property values can fall due to environmental, economic, or other reasons, and changes in interest rates can negatively impact the performance of real estate companies. 8 An investment in an exchange-traded fund ( ETF ) generally presents the same primary risks as an investment in a fund that is not exchange traded and may also be subject to other risks, such as: (i) ETF shares may trade above or below their net asset value; (ii) an active trading market for an ETFs shares may not develop or be maintained and (iii) trading of an ETFs shares may be halted by the listing exchange s officials. Ultrashort ETFs are subject to additional risks. 9 Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs) concentrate investments in the natural resource sector and are subject to the risks of energy prices and demand and the volatility of commodity investments. Damage to facilities and infrastructure of MLPs may significantly affect the value of an investment and may incur environmental costs and liabilities due to the nature of their business. MLPs are subject to significant regulation and may be adversely affected by changes in the regulatory environment. MLPs are subject to certain risks inherent in the structure of MLPs, including complex tax structure risks, the limited ability for election or removal of management, limited voting rights, potential dependence on parent companies or sponsors for revenues to satisfy obligations, and potential conflicts of interest between partners, members and affiliates. 10 There are no guarantees that dividend-paying stocks will continue to pay dividends. In addition, dividend-paying stocks may not experience the same capital appreciation potential as non-dividend paying stocks. 11 The Fund may write (sell) covered call options (options to purchase a security at a predetermined price for a specified period of time) which may limit the Fund s gain, if any, on the underlying securities, and the Fund continues to bear the risk of a decline in the value of the underlying stock until the option expires or is closed out. The Fund may write (sell) call options and purchase put options (options to sell a security at a predetermined price for a specified period of time) and/or enter into put option spreads. The Fund may also write (sell) put options on individual stocks deemed attractive for purchase at prices at or above the exercise price of the put options written. If a counterparty is unable to honor its commitments, the value of Fund shares may decline and/or the Fund could experience delays in the return of collateral or other assets held by the counterparty. Selling covered calls will result in tax consequences that will impact and affect the overall performance of the Fund. 12 While inflation-protected securities ( IPS ) adjust in response to inflation as measured by a specific price index, the value of these securities generally may still decline in response to an increase in real interest rates. In addition, any increase in principal value of an IPS caused by an increase in the price index is taxable in the year the increase occurs, even though the Fund will not receive cash representing the increase at the time. Commodities-related investments are subject to the same risks as direct investments in commodities and prices may rise and fall in response to many factors such as economic, political and regulatory developments. The Fund s use of derivative instruments involves risks different from, or possibly greater than, the risks associated with investing directly in securities and other traditional investments. These risks include interest rate risk, credit risk, liquidity and leverage risks. Derivatives may also increase the taxable distribution to shareholders, as explained in the Fund s prospectus. Diversification does not assure a profit nor protect against loss. Although the fund can add diversification to your portfolio, the fund itself is a non-diversified fund. The Fund may invest a greater percentage of its assets in the securities of a single issuer than do other mutual funds. Therefore, Fund performance can be affected significantly by the performance of one or a small number of issuers. 13 The risk of investing in the Huntington Asset Allocation Funds is a reflection of the risks of investing in the Underlying Funds in which each Asset Allocation Fund invests. Therefore, it is important that you carefully read the prospectus for each Underlying Fund. 14 Because the Asset Allocation Funds invest in other Funds, the Asset Allocation Funds are shareholders of the Underlying Funds and indirectly bear proportionate share of the operating expenses, including management fees, of the Underlying Funds. 15 Diversification does not ensure a profit or protect against loss. 18 HuntingtonFunds.com
