5 STEAMPlus Sterilization Integrator STEAMPlus is an immediate readout integrator for use in gravity, prevacuum and immediate use cycles. This product is tested to ST-60 and ISO :2005 performance claims of Class 5 integrating integrators. Four inch strip has distinct pass/fail criteria and allows for easy removal from packs. The STEAMPlus is FDA cleared as equivalent in performance to a biological indicator, and offers the highest level of sterility assurance from a chemical indicator. The STEAMPlus does not replace the routine use of a biological indicator. 6 SporView Plus Biological Indicator Test Pack The SporViewPlus Steam BI Test Pack allows users to immediately release processed loads with peace of mind from the STEAMPlus Sterilization Integrator, which is attached to a load record card. The BI is then activated and incubated, checking the biological at regular intervals for visual spore growth; final biological indicator test results shall be recorded at 24 hours to comply with standards for routine sterilizer efficacy monitoring. The SporViewPlus Steam BI Test Pack is for use in both gravity and prevacuum sterilizers and is equivalent in performance to an AAMI BI Test Pack (PCD). Product meets AAMI standards for routine and implant loads and media growth promotion has been validated for extended steam cycles. This system requires no crushing or activation and gives clear, easy to interpret results. Purple to yellow color change or visible turbidity of a processed ampule indicates sterilizer failure. 13 Steam Verification Test Kit This test should be performed when major changes are made in packaging, wraps or load configuration for sterilization verification of wrapped trays or rigid containers. Each test kit contains 12 individual tests with multiple BI strips (5 tests and 1 control), pre-paid envelopes, instructions for use and certificate of performance. Independent third party confidential results are provided in a lab report after 24 hours incubation. Although masks may look similar, each mask has notable differences affecting the quality and level of filtration. Understanding the ASTM performance level of each face mask can help make the selection process easier and ensure your mask will provide the appropriate filtration and protection. Medical face mask materials covered under the most current ASTM specifications are designated as one or more of the following performance levels based on the barrier performance properties of the materials used. What the terms mean: FLUID RESISTANCE* represents the mask s resistance to penetration by synthetic blood under pressure (mmhg). It measures the ability of a mask s material construction to minimize fluids from traveling through the material and potentially coming into contact with the wearer. The higher the fluid resistance (filtration), the better the protection. BFE (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency) represents the percentage of bacteria filtered out at a spore size of 1-5 microns. It is the measure of the efficiency of the mask in filtering bacteria passing through it. PFE (Particulate Filtration Efficiency) represents the percentage of particles filtered out at a spore size of microns. PFE is the measure of the efficiency of the mask in filtering particles passing through it. The size of the particles filtered is critical. DELTA P (Differential Pressure) represents the pressure drop across the mask or reistance to air flow in mmh20/cm2.
